Rob Kardashian Enabled By Khloe? ‘I Was The Only One Who Was There’

Rob Kardashian is a hot topic in Khloe Kardashian’s new book, Strong Looks Better Naked. Throughout the last few years of Rob Kardashian’s depression and weight loss struggles, Khloe has been the closest person to him, and in her first solo memoir, she’s opened up about her role in his life, as well as his lack of motivation to return to the public eye.

“I was doing everything in my power to try to help [Rob Kardashian], and my entire family accused me of being an enabler,” Khloe wrote, according to a November 10 report by Yahoo! Celebrity. “I was the only one who was there for [Rob Kardashian], I said. They didn’t care. None of that was true, of course. They all cared.”

In 2012, following a series of highly publicized splits from Adrienne Bailon and Rita Ora, Rob Kardashian quit Keeping Up with the Kardashians and began living his life away from the paparazzi and media in Los Angeles. Although Rob Kardashian used to appear often on the red carpet and was frequently seen out and about, he has rarely been seen at all in the last couple of years. In fact, he didn’t even attend his sister Kim’s wedding to Kanye West in May 2014. Since then, he’s only surfaced a handful of times.

While Khloe continues to live with Rob Kardashian and often attempts to motivate him to lose weight and come out of hiding, she claims she’s been accused of “making life too easy for [Rob Kardashian].”

“I was constantly checking up on him, making sure he had the food he liked, seeing if he needed anything from the store, asking what I could do to make him more comfortable,” Khloe recalled. “My sisters said I was babying him and that he’d never leave the house if I didn’t let him fend for himself. I argued with them because it was an emotional issue, and emotion tends to cloud your thinking.”

“I love and [Rob Kardashian] and he knows I love him, but he fell into a deep, dark place and couldn’t find his way back.”

According to Khloe, Rob Kardashian would attempt to “fix things his way,” but typically, diving “headfirst” into quick-fixes would result in quickly giving up. As she explained, Rob Kardashian wanted too much too soon, and when he didn’t see quick results, he would quit. At times, Rob Kardashian would start to work out and eat healthier, but when he failed to lose the weight he hoped, he would get discouraged.

For the last few years since Rob Kardashian left Keeping Up with the Kardashians, rumors have continuously swirled regarding his possible return. However, as of yet, Rob Kardashian hasn’t been seen.

Most recently, Us Weekly claimed Rob Kardashian had shot scenes for Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 after losing a reported 15 pounds while working with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson. At the time, the magazine’s source alleged members of Rob Kardashian’s family had lit a fire under him to get started on his weight loss, and that the money factor was a motivation for him, as well.

“[Rob Kardashian]’s not getting paid if he doesn’t film… He has a $2 million-a-year contract. He realized he couldn’t give up this huge opportunity.”

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 11 premieres on Sunday, November 15, at 9 p.m. on the E! Network. No official word yet on whether Rob Kardashian will be seen, but he was not featured during the trailer clip.
