‘Teen Mom’ Dad Corey Simms’ Baby Born 2 Month Premature

Teen Mom 2 dad Corey Simms was excited when he announced to his twin daughters Ali and Aleeah that he and his second wife, Miranda Patterson, were expecting their first child together during an episode of the MTV reality series. Over the weekend Miranda gave birth to that child, a daughter named Remi. However, the baby girl was born two months premature.

The Ashley’s Reality Roundup reports that Corey Simms and Miranda Patterson welcomed their baby girl Remi Monroe Simms over the weekend. The newborn was born eight weeks early as she wasn’t due until January 1. Thankfully, it appears that the latest Teen Mom 2 baby is healthy despite her early arrival.

Corey and Miranda posted their first official family photo of themselves with baby Remi to their personal, private Facebook page and looked extremely happy as their held their newborn daughter in their arms. Little Remi joins her older half-sisters Ali and Aleeah Simms, Corey’s twin daughters from his first marriage to Leah Messer.

Corey and Miranda married in the summer of 2013 and have since then been fighting Leah Messer for primary custody of Corey and Leah’s twin daughters. Recently, Corey and Miranda won that battle after a judge awarded the couple primary custody of the girls after Leah revealed on Teen Mom 2 that she was struggling with issues and needed help. Leah later when to rehab for treatment for a month, but has allegedly not gotten much better when it comes to her parenting.

Reports suggest that Leah Messer hasn’t been getting the twins to school on time and been missing some of daughter Ali’s physical therapy appoints as she has a rare form of muscular dystrophy. Messer also reportedly wasn’t paying attention to her youngest daughter, Adalynn, whom she shares with ex-husband number two, Jeremy Calvert. The Ashley previously reported that little Addie, 2, wandered out of her home and was found by a police officer and taken home safely.

Teen Mom 2 fans are now hearing rumblings that Jeremy Calvert may also be considering seeking primary custody of his daughter from Leah Messer, who is obviously going through a very rough time in her life at the moment.

Baby Remi Monroe Simms is just the latest Teen Mom baby born recently. Corey’s co-star Jenelle Evans has a baby son, Kaiser, with ex-fiance Nathan Griffith, Kailyn Lowry and her husband Javi Marroquin have a young toddler named Lincoln, while original Teen Mom stars Maci Bookout and her boyfriend Taylor McKinney recently added daughter Jayde Carter to their family. Amber Portwood’s ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, and his new wife Kristina are the parents to baby Emilee, and Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra welcomed baby daughter Nova in January of 2015.

The amount of Teen Mom babies are really adding up and it should be fun to see them all grow up for as long as the show goes on. MTV hasn’t revealed how long the franchise will continue. However, the original cast members are returning for another season in 2016 and the Teen Mom 2 girls are said to be filming another season as well. So, it looks like fans will get to see a lot of the drama as well as the new babies when the shows return to the network.

There is so much going on with all the Teen Mom stars that it is almost hard to keep up with them all. However, the ladies of the franchise love to tweet and Instagram photos of their families and daily lives to keep their fans in the loop. Hopefully we’ll see photos of the baby Remi very soon and all is well with her health following Miranda’s early delivery.
