Claudia Jordan Says She Wasn’t Cut From ‘RHOA,’ Believes She And Demetria McKinney Stood Up For Themselves

Will Claudia Jordan be watching the eighth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta despite no longer being a headliner on the show? Perhaps. On Sunday, hours before the airing of the premiere episode, Claudia reminded her Twitter followers to watch the premiere. She wished some of the housewives luck and welcomed newcomer Kim Fields to the world of reality TV.

Cynthia thanked Claudia for her well wishes. Claudia, who now lives in California, told Cynthia that she misses her and to come visit, adding that her new place is even better than the one she had in Atlanta.

When a fan tweeted that it’s classy of Claudia to plug a show that she was cut from, Claudia responded that she didn’t get cut from Real Housewives. Claudia added that she has no hard feelings towards the show but rather appreciates and loves the network and production company.

Claudia later tweeted that she’s happy for the housewives who returned to the show.

In response to a fan who said that she’s going to miss Claudia Jordan and Demetria McKinney on the show, Claudia wrote that she and Demetria showed some heart while also standing up for themselves, which wasn’t easy to do.

Claudia was a starring housewife on Season 7 while Demetria was a recurring housewife. For both Claudia and Demetria, Season 7 was their first one on the show. During the season, Claudia had a lot of drama with NeNe Leakes. The two women even had a verbal showdown in Puerto Rico, with the two of them hurling insults at one another. As for Demetria, she got into it with Phaedra Parks after Phaedra pretty much said that she’s too old to be chasing a music career as a R&B/pop singer and questioned her relationship with entertainment executive Roger Bobb.

Unlike Claudia, Demetria didn’t appear on the Season 7 reunion show. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, when Part 1 of the reunion show aired, Demetria said that she was performing on the day the reunion show filmed. She then added that her reason for joining the show was to highlight and bring attention to her music, which she accomplished, making it pretty clear that she doesn’t care to continue and/or expand her role on the show.

As for Claudia, after reports came out that she was fired from the show, she denied it. As the Inquisitr reported in July, Claudia hinted that she was still trying to negotiate with the show’s producers in regards to her role on the upcoming season. She explained that “moving parts and decisions that need to be made on BOTH ends.” Perhaps the producers offered Claudia a recurring housewife or guest role and she turned that down?

Yet viewers may still see a glimpse of Demetria and Claudia on the new season. The Inquisitr reported in late September that Claudia attended a party thrown to celebrate Demetria’s new music with Kandi Burruss. A flyer for the event stated that was going to be filmed for The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Claudia Jordan later posted a photo of herself with Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Demetria McKinney, and Amiyah Scott at the party with a microphone over them.
