Kylie Jenner Branded As Sexist After Paparazzi Run In, Demonstrates Family Matters [Video]
Kylie Jenner recently received a hefty backlash from those who were unappreciative of her Snapchat video that the star lately posted of herself being hounded by a female paparazzi. The 18-year-old reality star was clearly annoyed with the photog, and perhaps has had run-ins with her on additional occasions. Fans were shocked and unimpressed with Jenner’s choice of words in the video. The Mirror relays a description of the video’s action and the negative reaction by fans.
“Kylie Jenner has been blasted by her fans after calling a woman a ‘b**ch’ on Snapchat. In the footage the reality star becomes annoyed when she spots a female paparazzi trying to photograph her. Clearly annoyed, she then says: ‘No woman should be a paparazzi and this woman is such a b**ch.’ “
Although paparazzi are known for being pestering and annoying, it is not the actions of the photographer that Kylie’s fans focused on when she chose to post the interaction. It was instead Kylie’s words about how she believes that women should not be in the specific field of work that got serious backlash.
The Mirror recounts social media posts as examples of the reaction that Jenner received.
“So far many of her fans haven’t been able to hold their tongue as they’ve accused Kylie of being ‘sexist’. One person wrote: ‘@KylieJenner Why shouldn’t a WOMAN be a Paparazzi?!’ Another added: ‘if it pays the bills why be sexist about it? She’s doing her thing, do yours. #powertowomen.’ “
The incident between Jenner and the female photographer apparently occurred while the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was on her way to visit Lamar Odom, her older sister Khloe’s estranged ex, in the hospital after he suffered a near-fatal circumstance. The teen is known for being a master of social media, and has even just recently received recognition from Time Magazine for her creative contributions to technology after her developed app skyrocketed in popularity. It’s clear that Kylie could still use some educating and coaching in regards to the content that she should be posting on her various social media pages, however.
Social media posts and offensive statements aside, Kylie is proving to be more than just a reality star who has become famous due to her family. She is clearly inspired and motivated to be about more than the Kardashian-Jenner name, much like her older sister, Kendall, who has made the catwalk her second home and become one of the world’s top models, additionally landing some of the biggest campaigns with fashion houses such as Estee Lauder and Chanel.
Kendall and Kylie recently also demonstrated that they are all about family, and even after the rift that has come between their mother, Kris, and father, Caitlyn (formerly Bruce) Jenner, the girls have managed to show their love for both. Kendall and Kylie have been spotted out splitting their time in celebration of both Kris and Caitlyn. The Daily Mail notes the reasons for celebration.
“[Kendall and Kylie] had just celebrated their mother Kris Jenner’s milestone 60th birthday in West Hollywood. But sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner also spent some quality time with their parent Caitlyn Jenner over a dinner date in New York City the very next day.”
A picture of the sisters and Caitlyn was later Instagrammed with the simple caption “fam night” and displayed the sisters doting on their beloved parent, who has experienced a remarkable transformation. Kendall and Kylie clearly adore and are very proud of both their parents and are set on making time for them.
Caitlyn Jenner, who was formerly Olympic athlete Bruce Jenner, revealed herself earlier this year by posing for the cover of Vanity Fair.
