‘Arrow’ And ‘The Flash’ — Superheroes And Villains We Hope Pop Up On The DC Comic Hits

It is no secret that one of the more exciting aspects of Arrow and The Flash has been the large amount of new characters introduced. This has been expanded even more when the two shows featured crossover episodes last season, which helped to enlarge the pool of characters each show could draw from. With that in mind, here are a few superheroes and villains that may be making an appearance as both shows continue to develop this season.

According to Movie Pilot, Arrow has already introduced some members of the Suicide Squad, including Deadshot. It would therefore make sense for the series to include more villains moving forward. Steve Trevor could easily be one of those characters, especially considering his link with both the Suicide Squad and A.R.G.U.S.

At the same time, there are a couple members of the Suicide Squad that could re-emerge on Arrow. Back in Season 2, Deathstroke was introduced and proved to a formidable foe. Although he was defeated by the season’s end, his appearance in the current season would be an interesting development for the villain and offer an opportunity for the show to expand on his character.

Similarly, it would be nice to see Captain Boomerang make another showing in the series. Despite being placed in prison along with Deathstroke, the show has hinted that Captain Boomerang managed to escape prison after his involvement with the Suicide Squad. This certainly opens the door for the character to make an appearance in a future season, which would certainly be welcomed by fans.

Finally, an exciting character that is already set to be featured in the current season of Arrow is Constantine. This news was met with excitement by fans ever since it first broke mainly because the characters’ show was recently cancelled halfway through the first season.

Although many fans were thrilled to see the show make room for a cameo appearance of Constantine, producer Marc Guggenheim recently revealed to Deadline that it was a one time deal with the character.

“There’s no plans. This was always designed to be a one off,” Guggenheim stated concerning Constantine’s involvement on Arrow.

Meanwhile, in regard to The Flash, it would be interesting to see John Fox make an appearance in the series. So far, this season has focused a lot on multiple dimensions and time travel, which would go hand in hand with Fox. This is especially true considering the character is The Flash from the future, who travels back in time from the 27th century in order to help out Barry Allen, Wally West, and Jay Garrick.

Of course, with the show concentrating more on the element of time travel this season, it is very possible that Fox will make an appearance at some point in the series. Just when that happens is anyone’s guess, though sooner would certainly be better.

Speaking of different dimensions and alternate universes, another character that could be introduced on The Flash is Johnny Quick. Adding Quick to the show would make sense given the fact that Earth 2 has already been introduced and there have been villains making the journey over to Earth 1.

That being said, the series has already featured a bad guy with super speed, so it may prove too much to have another villain speedster so soon. However, with the two shows set for another round of crossover episodes, it is a possibility that Quick could be included in one of those installments.

Fans can discover which new characters are introduced as Season 2 of The Flash continues Tuesday nights, while Arrow’s fourth season airs Wednesday nights on The CW.
