Black Friday 2015 is heating up, with a new leaked ad from Kohl’s that shows some of the lowest prices yet on flat screen televisions, along with a host of other deals.
Many stores have been releasing ads in the weeks leading up to the year’s biggest shopping day, with deals already shared from Walmart, Macy’s, Sam’s Club, and plenty of others. This week, Kohl’s ad hit the internet (thanks to The Black Friday), showing deals on clothes and electronics.
Here are some of the deals Kohl’s is offering (via WCPO):
- 50 percent off on many toys
- $89 FitBit watches
- $99 32-inch HDTV
- $17 Nerf gun sets
- $19 Skull Candy headphones
Kohl’s will be open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving (November 26), but the hours for the entirety of Black Friday haven’t been revealed yet.
There are some other deals to bring in shoppers. Shoppers will be able to get $15 in Kohl’s cash for every $50 they spend in the week leading up to and including Black Friday weekend. It will be redeemable from November 30 through December 6.
Shopping experts note that Kohl’s doesn’t normally offer the biggest names in electronics, the ones that would be found at Walmart or other bigger retailers, but it is popular for the big markdowns on clothing and small appliances.

Many retailers are trying to set themselves apart for the upcoming Black Friday sales. The ad for Sam’s Club leaked this week, showing that the warehouse retailer is aiming to bring in some big video game shopping traffic. The store offered the first Playstation 4 bundle deal of the year, offering the PS4 console and a game for $299 in a deal that actually starts on Saturday, November 14.

As a report from I4U report notes, other retailers are likely to follow suit with video game deals of their own.
“The Sam’s Club Sony PS4 deal is the best yet announced for the Black Friday 2015 season. We believe that this PS4 console deal will be matched by other retailers on Black Friday or earlier. There will be at least $50 discounts on Sony PS4 console bundles. The Sam’s Club warehouse deal is leading the way. The Sam’s Club stores open at 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 14 for this special holiday sale. Browse the four-page Sam’s Club Holiday Savings Celebration 2015 Ad to see all deals. Sam’s Club says that the advertised deals are the best for the whole Holiday season ending December 24.”
It may actually be difficult to find unique deals this Black Friday shopping season. As Consumer Reports noted, stores are afraid of losing any potential shoppers so outlets like Target and Walmart will be willing to match competitors’ deals.

“Today, more retailers are matching online and in-store pricing,” the report noted. “Just two weeks ago Target announced that it would expand its in-store and online price-matching policy by adding 24 online competitors, including warehouse clubs. Last year, Walmart started matching the prices of about 30 online competitors, and Best Buy has been price matching with seven online retailers, including Amazon, for years. These are all part of what we believe will be a growing trend that can help you get the best deals.”
That price matching is already seen at Kohl’s, which is also offering a $299 PS4 bundle that appears similar to Sam’s Club’s deal.
