‘Game Of Thrones’ Execs Reveal One Character Is Really Dead Ahead Of Season 6 — And It Is Not Jon Snow

A new spoiler concerning the death of one Game of Thrones character has officially been revealed, and thankfully it is not Jon Snow. In fact, according to the Huffington Post, we can now say with certainty that Myrcella Baratheon is dead.

The news was uncovered in a recent book released by HBO executives, Game of Thrones: The Noble Houses of Westeros. The book includes in-depth information on all of the different houses in the series, including the history and fate of Myrcella.

In fact, the book reveals that Ellaria Sand poisoned Myrcella, who eventually died in Jamie Lannister’s arms. While many suspected that Myrcella had been killed off, it was unclear if her character had met her end in the TV series.

The mystery surrounding Myrcella was further aided by cast members after the end of Season 5, who refused to say whether or not Myrcella had died. Luckily, the book has cleared things up regarding her character, and we have the executives at HBO to thank for it.

Meanwhile, with filming currently underway for Season 6 of the hit fantasy drama, more leaks have recently surfaced. According to the Week, a new royal character is set to be played by Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is known for his work in the Bollywood scene.

Mukesh was offered a role in Game of Thrones after working with the show’s stunt director Greg Powell on another show, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Powell was so impressed with Mukesh’s work that he offered him a spot on Game of Thrones playing an unknown royal family member.

“I play a royal in both and also feature in combat scenes,” Mukesh stated in regards to his new part.

Meanwhile, aside from all of the big leaks that have surfaced, one of the more intriguing aspects of the new season centers on the fact this is the first season not based on a book. Considering that the story has now caught up with the latest book by George R.R. Martin, the show is set to enter some unchartered territory where anything is possible.

That being said, both David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have stated that they know exactly how Martin plans to end the series. This indicates that the series will most likely try and stick to the books as closely as possible, especially with only a few more seasons to go. With that in mind, is there a big battle ahead in Season 6 that will include the return of Jon Snow (Kit Harington)?

According to Watchers on the Wall, Harington has been spotted on the Game of Thrones set during the filming of the upcoming season. Although there are many reasons why the actor was seen on set, his presence could indicate that he will be brought back to life in the new season.

Additionally, crew members have been spotted in Northern Ireland filming for a massive battle scene. The battle is thought to be between Snow and the Ramsay Bolton, both of whom will be leading several armies in this epic fight.

Whatever the case turns out to be in regards to the fate of Snow, it is certain that the show will start to wrap up its main storyline in the upcoming few seasons. In fact, both Benioff and Weiss agreed that they have no plans on extending the series beyond what is included in the books.

“The idea that we’re going to try and stretch it out by an extra couple years just because we’re all having a good time doing it and people are making money off it just feels like it would be a betrayal,” Benioff stated.

Season 6 of Game of Thrones is expected to air sometime in April 2016.
