Lamar Odom Will Enter Rehab As Early As Next Week, Claims Source

Lamar Odom has been in the hospital for nearly a month, but, according to a new report, he may soon be leaving. Although it is unclear when the husband of Khloe Kardashian will be released from care, rumors have surfaced claiming Lamar Odom may be entering rehab next week.

“[Lamar Odom] is doing better slowly but surely,” a source told Us Weekly of the former NBA star on November 5. “He is still working with lots of therapists. Every day he is relearning how to do more with his motor skills. He is cognitively aware of everything but [it’s] hard to process a lot at once.”

According to the magazine’s source, Lamar Odom, who turns 36 tomorrow, November 6, could be relocated to a rehab center next week, but thus far, “it is not definite yet.”

When Lamar Odom was initially hospitalized on October 13, he was in dire condition, but after spending days in a coma, he awoke and began to communicate with Khloe Kardashian and other members of his family who flew to be with him, including his daughter, Destiny Odom, his son, Lamar Odom Jr., and their mother, Liza Morales.

Then, after being transferred to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, report surfaced, claiming Lamar Odom’s wife had been keeping certain members of his family away from his bedside.

“[Lamar Odom] said he need space and wanted to be alone,” a source told Us Weekly of an allegedly heated exchange between Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom on October 23. “He told her to get out.”

In other Lamar Odom news, the former professional athlete’s cousin, Sherae Clark-Williams, recently took to Facebook, where she revealed she had been forced to sign a waiver after arriving to the Sunrise Hospital, where Lamar Odom was treated last month, and took aim at Kardashian, whom she claimed had nothing to do with Lamar Odom waking up from his coma.

“Good Afternoon all my Facebook Family & Friends There have been a lot of false reports made about my cousins health and I want All 2 know Yes he’s Awake & It didn’t happen Until his Family got here!!!!! No K.K Did Not encourage him to awake..It was his Children that got the 1st response..Now His true Family is here & I’m supposed to sign a waiver not to talk about North West a child I have No interest in What so ever Please Call Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas & ask them is this how you treat all families going thru this..”

While there have been rumors of possible tension between Lamar Odom and his wife, the basketball player agreed to call off their divorce just weeks ago. After arriving to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on October 19, Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian signed documents from the hospital, which requested their divorce proceedings be thrown out. On October 21, Lamar Odom’s request was granted, according to Entertainment Tonight. The date is significant due to Us Weekly‘s report about their October 23 fight, in which the magazine claimed Khloe was booted from his room.

As rumors continue to swirl, Lamar Odom’s wife remains close to him, and spends most of her time at the hospital. Following Lamar’s hospitalization, Khloe immediately flew to Las Vegas and remained at his bedside until last weekend, when the reality star attended the baby shower of her older sister, Kim Kardashian. Since then, Khloe has been spotted out in Los Angeles on multiple occasions.
