Josh Duhamel Reveals First Words To Wife Fergie
Josh Duhamel had a crush on his wife Fergie before they even met. So when they finally exchanged hellos, things were a bit awkward for the Las Vegas actor. Duhamel told James Corden, host of The Late Late Show, about his first words to Fergie.
It all started when Duhamel saw Fergie shaking it in a music video with The Black Eyed Peas. He was immediately taken by the singer, so in a production meeting on his hit show Las Vegas, Duhamel suggested that they get the group to come on the show, seeing as how they did special guest stars all the time.
Lo and behold, the powers that be listened to Duhamel’s request, and in the second season, The Black Eyed Peas showed up to film their episode. Duhamel told Corden that he was nervous about meeting Fergie, and because of that he had planned the whole thing out in his head, including his clothes. That said, it sounds like his nerves got the best of him.
“I was really nervous. It was my moment of truth. I had laid out my outfit the night before, which I never had done before. It was a big build up to the one moment where I would finally get to talk to her. All I could say was, ‘You’re hot.'”
Fortunately for Duhamel the line worked on Fergie, and the two started dating shortly after. They started dating in September 2004, and wed on January 10, 2009 in Malibu. After experiencing a rocky path with news of an affair on Duhamel’s end, the two attended therapy, got over their hump, and welcomed son Axl Jack Duhamel on August 29, 2013. The couple often share photos of their son on Instagram.

Things are so good for the couple that according to the Inquisitr, the pair are planning for baby No. 2. Back in January, it was reported that the couple wanted a second baby in time for 2015, but seeing as there’s barely two months left in the year, it looks like they’ll have to set their sights on 2016.
At the time, a source said of the happy couple, “She and Josh are trying to conceive another child right now. Axl needs a partner in crime.”
The couple have been through their own struggles, and according to a source, some people didn’t think the couple would last.
“People are surprised that they have lasted this long, but they are not. They are best friends before anything else. They are so low-key because they love what they do, but don’t like the life that comes with it. They prefer to be home with each other rather than out there because of the lack of privacy. She says she will be with him forever.”
Although the two have a private life together, when Duhamel had an affair in 2009 with Atlanta stripper Nicole Forrester, Fergie did open up about the ordeal. After some time away from the situation, Fergie appeared on Oprah’s Next Chapter to talk about the struggle.
“When you go through difficult times, it really makes you stronger as a unit, as a partnership. It does for us, anyways. Our love today is a deeper love, definitely. We’re stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that’s happened with us. We deal with it, we communicate; communicating’s the most important thing.”
Looks like this couple has it all figured out.
