NFL Expert Picks Week 9: Packers Picked To Beat Undefeated Panthers

NFL expert picks for Week 9 are coming in from ESPN. One of the exciting Week 9 NFL picks has the ESPN experts picking the Green Bay Packers to beat the undefeated Carolina Panthers on Sunday, November 8. ESPN releases weekly predictions from experts with the network, but not all the picks from the coming week have been submitted yet. As additional injury reports get released by teams and the Thursday night games draw closer, more of the analysts will reveal their Week 9 predictions.

In the latest NFL standings, the Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers are each in first place. The Packers have a 6-1 record to lead the NFC North, while the 7-0 Panthers are leading the NFC South. Both teams look good enough to compete for the NFC title and a spot in the Super Bowl, but this game could create a lot of momentum for the winner. Game time for this one is 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 8, with the ESPN analysts heavily favoring the Packers to win on the road.

The Week 9 NFL expert picks begin on Thursday, November 5, when the Cincinnati Bengals host the Cleveland Browns. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the Browns will have Johnny Manziel as the starting quarterback. He is back into the starting role after Josh McCown got roughed up by the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. The Bengals (7-0) have been unanimously predicted to beat the Browns (2-6) in this game. Moving to 8-0 would put the Bengals a full four games ahead of the second place Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North.

There are other unanimous Week 9 NFL expert picks from the ESPN analysts. Those games predict the New England Patriots to beat the Washington Redskins, the New Orleans Saints to beat the Tennessee Titans, the New York Jets to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Atlanta Falcons to beat the San Francisco 49ers, and the Denver Broncos to beat the Indianapolis Colts. The Broncos vs. Colts game will take place in Indianapolis and it shows how little confidence the analysts have in Andrew Luck this season.

There are several other games on Sunday where only one analyst has picked the underdog to win. Those games have the Buffalo Bills beating the Miami Dolphins, the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Oakland Raiders, and the New York Giants beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Merril Hoge (79-40) picked Tampa Bay, Marcus Allen (70-49) picked Oakland, and Mike Golic (74-45) picked Miami. In the Monday night game on November 9, the San Diego Chargers are picked to beat the Chicago Bears. Only Golic has picked the Bears to win that game.

In the last two Week 9 NFL expert picks, the analysts at ESPN have picked the Minnesota Vikings to beat the St. Louis Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles to beat the Dallas Cowboys. The experts are just about split on this prediction, with the Vikings hosting the important game between two playoff hopefuls. In the Dallas vs. Philadelphia game, the analysts are split 5-4 in favor of the Eagles, with four of them picking the Cowboys to win at home on Sunday night. That NFC East grudge match is at 8:30 p.m. ET.

There are six teams with byes this week, which might have fantasy football owners scrambling for a new quarterback this week. The teams with a week off are the Arizona Cardinals, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks. There are only 12 games on the schedule this week, with no game taking place in London either. The action gets started on Thursday night at 8:25 p.m. ET, with the Week 9 NFL expert picks giving the Browns no chance at an upset of the Bengals.
