Drake’s ‘Views From The 6’ Album Coming Soon? ‘Hotline Bling’ Rapper Drops Hint On Instagram

Drake may have vowed to spend the remainder of 2015 working on his highly anticipated album, Views from the 6, but it looks like Drake is dropping hints that suggest he may be ready to release Views from the 6 sooner than expected.

While Drake has yet to confirm an official release date for his new album, fans took to social media on Thursday to speculate over a potential 2015 release for Drake’s album after the rapper took to Instagram to share a photo of a billboard that appears to tease Views from the 6’s impending release.

In his latest Instagram post, Drake shares a photo of an all-black billboard with white text that simply reads, “The 6 God Is Watching,” complete with Drake’s signature praying hands symbol to represent the “God” portion of his advertisement.

Drake captioned the speculative photo with a simple, “Be home soon.”

While some fans pointed out that Drake’s billboard may simply be the first of many advertisements for Drake’s Views from the 6 album, other fans pointed out that Drake has used similar methods in the past to hype his previous albums, Take Care and Nothing Was the Same.

According to Vulture, Drake made headlines for quoting his chart-topping hit, “Started From The Bottom,” on a Toronto billboard prior to Nothing Was the Same’s release in 2013 after causing controversy with his promotional billboard for Take Care in 2011.

Given Drake’s fondness for using traditional billboards to tease the release of his previous albums, Drake fans are already gearing up for what they are hoping to be a surprise release from Drake for Views from the 6 before 2015 comes to an end.

Despite Drake’s massive success with the release of two mixtapes in 2015, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and What a Time to Be Alive, it looks as though Drake may be planning a third release before the year is out.

Earlier this year, Drake opened up about his plans for Views from the 6 in a lengthy interview with the Fader, telling the publication that his new album will be dropping “imminently” after months of speculation regarding an official release date.

However, Drake seemingly diminished any hope of a 2015 release for Views from the 6 after Drake told fans during his Austin City Limits performance that he’d be taking the rest of the year off to focus on completing the album.

While little is known about what Drake plans to include on Views from the 6, sources close to Drake previously revealed that Drake is planning to take “a lot of fuel” from his ongoing feud with Meek Mill to complete the “epic” album.

Earlier this year, Meek Mill, who is dating Drake’s close friend and label mate Nicki Minaj, took to Twitter to accuse Drake of needing a ghostwriter to help write his raps on their collaborative track, “R.I.C.O.,” sparking an all-out diss war between Drake and Meek.

To respond to Meek’s claims, Drake dropped two chart-topping diss tracks, “Back To Back” and “Charged Up,” earlier this year, but there has been a lot of speculation regarding the release of a third diss track in the works.

A source close to Drake previously explained to Urban Islandz that while they aren’t sure if Drake has plans to drop the track anytime soon, it would certainly “end Meek for good” and that there would “be no coming back if this track had gotten out.”

With rumors of an impending release for Drake’s Views from the 6 album, perhaps we can see at least a new Drake song emerge before 2016?
