Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan-Tatum Reportedly Expecting Second Child

Actor Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, are reportedly expecting another child.

According to Hollywood Life, an inside source opened up to In Touch Weekly about how Jenna revealed the news of her pregnancy at a recent party.

“Jenna was telling friends at George Clooney’s Halloween party that she wasn’t drinking because she’s pregnant.”

Another insider reportedly revealed that Jenna explained she and the Magic Mike XXL star “were going to make it an early night because she’s pregnant.” The longtime couple first met on the set of their 2006 film, Step Up.

In the film, Channing played Tyler Gage — a troubled hip hop dancer that eventually falls in love with ballet performer Nora Clark (played by Jenna) and receives a life-changing opportunity to take his dancing and education to new heights.

Shortly after the film wrapped, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan decided to turn their on-screen chemistry into an off-screen relationship.

In September, 2008, according to People, Channing coordinated a surprise encounter in Maui for close friends to be present when he popped the question, asking Jenna to become his wife. Channing and Jenna became husband and wife in July of the following year in Malibu, California.

On May 30, 2013, Channing and Jenna became first-time parents when they welcomed their daughter Everly into the world.

During an interview with Vanity Fair for the August, 2015, issue, Channing Tatum had a chance to open up about adjusting to the world of parenthood — including experiencing his wife’s journey through childbirth.

“It was crazy. You feel helpless. We like to think of ourselves as big, strong men, and we could handle whatever situation. And reality is [that women] are so much stronger than we could ever be. There’s a reason why we weren’t given that job, evolutionary or whatever. My wife, she’s a warrior. She did it as natural as you can. [As a man], you’re basically a cheerleader. ‘Come on, baby, you can do it.’ I would’ve tapped out in the first.”

The 35-year-old actor continued to speak very highly of his longtime love and the mother of his child by essentially referring to her as a superhero.

“Jenna is a super mom. There’s no other way to say it. She is there every single second, every single day. I love being a dad. They’re like little mirrors running around. They show you things about yourself you wouldn’t pay attention to before. Jenna says it all the time: ‘Oh, my God, that is so you right there.’ But I don’t know if I’m good at it.”

When asked to express her reaction to Channing’s comments, Jenna Dewan-Tatum told E! News that her husband’s kind words made her “feel really, really good.” She further expressed how she loves her daughter so much that “she is literally the light of [her] life.”

Even though she was not sure when she and Channing would have more kids, Jenna made it clear the co-star couple “definitely want to” have them at some point in the future.

Channing Tatum has a pretty solid year ahead of him when it comes to his acting career, as well — especially with the highly-anticipated January release of The Hateful Eight and the Coen Brothers’ film, Hail, Caesar. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Channing is also hard at work on his first standalone film in the Fox-produced X-Men universe, playing the title role in Gambit.
