WWE News: Daniel Bryan Scheduled To Appear At ‘WrestleMania 32’ — Will Bryan Wrestle On The Show?

The last two years have been rough for ex-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. After his win in the main-event of WrestleMania 30, many thought that Bryan would finally be put in the spot that he deserved and that he would be a WWE main-eventer for several years to come. But unfortunately, injuries have prevented Bryan from becoming that regular WWE main-event star that so many fans were hoping that he could be.

In 2014, it was revealed that Daniel Bryan was suffering from some pretty severe neck issues, which forced him to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship just a few months after he had won it. Then, following this year’s WrestleMania 31, Bryan was forced to relinquish yet another championship that he had won on WWE’s grandest stage due to injury, as he left the WWE Intercontinental Championship in the center of the ring following an announcement where he said that he may never wrestle again.

Since that day, it’s been a long, frustrating road back for Daniel Bryan. His goal was to return at this past August’s SummerSlam, but, WWE wouldn’t allow him to. Ever since then, Bryan has said that his personal doctor has cleared him to wrestle, but the WWE doctors will not allow him to get back in the ring.

At this point, nobody knows when Daniel Bryan will wrestle again, but with that said, Bryan is promising that he will wrestle again one day. However, whether that’s for WWE or not all depends on WWE’s willingness to clear him.

Daniel Bryan’s in-ring future is very much in doubt, but, what’s not in doubt is whether or not he will be appearing at next spring’s WrestleMania 32. Cageside Seats is reporting that, whether he’s cleared to wrestle or not, WWE is planning on using Bryan on the show next April.

Bryan’s role on the show hasn’t yet been decided, but apparently WWE wants him to be on the show, as they’re attempting to make next year’s event the biggest wrestling event of all-time, and they believe that Bryan’s star power will help fill the 100,000-seat stadium in Arlington, Texas.

It’s a well-known fact that Bryan is dying to get back in the ring and wrestle. He’s said on multiple occasions that he feels great and that, if WWE called him to get back in the ring on just one day’s notice, he’d do it, no questions asked. He has also said that his number one priority upon his return is to have a match with possibly the biggest star in WWE right now, “The Beast” Brock Lesnar.

“My number one dream match is Brock Lesnar. And I want that to be a WrestleMania match. I don’t know if the WWE will ever let that happen, because they might be afraid he might legitimately hurt me pretty bad.”

Daniel Bryan was originally scheduled to drop his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Brock Lesnar last summer before he was injured. However, it wasn’t going to be a competitive match, as Lesnar was going to squash Bryan the same way he squashed John Cena with the 16 German Suplexes.

There is a theory out there that WWE is purposely holding Bryan’s return off until after WrestleMania 32 because they don’t want his presence to ruin their WrestleMania plans for the third year in a row. Whether that’s true or not, we’ll never know, but Bryan believes that WWE is holding off his return because they’re looking out for his best interest, and not because they’re worried that his return would spoil any big plans that they have for the WrestleMania main-event.
