Justin Bieber Will ‘Never Stop Loving’ Selena Gomez, She Approves Twice On Instagram
Did you watch Justin Bieber’s interview with Access Hollywood, in which he gets real candid about Selena Gomez? Two words: extraordinary viewing.
And the actress-singer approved. We know all this because the pop princess “Liked” two fan Instagram photos which mentioned Justin’s on-set declaration of love for Gomez in their captions shortly after the program aired. More on that below.
Yes, that’s right. The Biebs went full-on Jerry Maguire, declaring his continuing love for Selena to the world, before dishing under probing questions from host Billy Bush. The big deal of this, is it’s the first time the heartthrob has been (seemingly) completely open about his feelings for his girlfriend, although his 2015 hits “Where Are U Now?” “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry,” are autobiographical.
Even in his lengthy Complex cover story in September, Justin spoke of his on-again, off-again relationship with the Disney album in the past tense. Well — not any more. An emotional guy at the best of times, the Canadian was on a whole different level of candid on Tuesday night. Think 2014’s “Most Elegant Princess” Instagram, reimagined as a movie. On a giant IMAX screen. Directed by James Cameron.
Currently Access’ “Artist of the Month,” the Biebs shared, “I’m never going to stop loving her,” and “I don’t know if I’m still over it yet,” when asked about the “Same Old Love” songstress at points during the chat.
It was all very intense and, well, you can can imagine the state of some Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fans on Twitter. After the program aired, one user tweeted the following meme.

Early on in the chat, Justin was asked by Bush to reveal how much of his upcoming Purpose album is specifically about Selena, whom the 21-year-old called his “first real love” during their sit-down.
“A lot of it, dude,” Justin said. Pressed further on the exact number of songs (out of 13 on the standard edition of his record) he replied, “Probably like three.”
Noting that he moved in with Selena “at a young age,” the singer went on to admit he still loves her and finds it hard to accept the end of their romance. “It was really tough. I don’t know if I’m still over it yet,” he said.
He continued, “I think that I’m definitely in another place, and I think we’ve definitely went our separate ways. I love her and I want her to be awesome, but there are things that remind me of her. Yeah, it was my first real love.”
Right person, wrong time, was the conclusion the “I’ll Show You” singer agreed when asked whether he thought he and Selena got together at a too young age.
One of the biggest popcorn moments in the interview came when Bush asked the superstar “how much” of him “hoped” Selena doesn’t meet “anybody serious,” Check Justin’s audibly choked intake of breath. A few seconds later, he replied, “You know it always sucks when you see someone you love with someone else, but I just want her to be happy, honestly. I just want her to be happy.”
Asked whether he and SelGo still talked, the Biebs said they did, adding, “Um. Yeah. She’s someone I love dearly, dude. And I’m never going to stop loving her. I’m never going to stop checking in on her.”
He explained, “I don’t think if you end a relationship, you should end that, unless it was super toxic and you guys were hurting each other physically or mentally.”
Of their romance, Justin insists, “We always respected each other and we still respect each other.”
So why did Jelena fall apart? “Yeah, I think we [were] young,” he said. Elaborating, he added, “And there’s things that we did, and things that we said to each other that were just kinda like, we broke some barrier. Things you just don’t say to someone you love or do to someone you love.”
Prompted on whether those “things” were “out of immaturity,” he replied, “Out of immaturity and out of selfishness, and out of just being human, dude. That’s it.”
The pop prince was also asked if he thinks he’ll ever get back together with Selena.
“I don’t know what happens,” Justin replied, “what’s going to happen in the future. I think we both gotta do some soul searching ourselves and figure out ourselves before we can just try to figure out each other.”
In the run-up to releasing her album Revival, Selena spoke often of her love and respect for her ex-beau. And based on the singer’s Instagram activity after Access’ show she liked what she heard.
The first Gomez fan Instagram account “Liked” by the starlet was a page showing pics of the famous radio interview with fetus Justin, during which he admitted he had a crush on “Selena Gomez.”
The caption, written by a Selenator now reads, “SELENA MY BABY LIKED THIS PIC IM CRYIN.”
At the second Instagram, which shows a photograph of Selena, the note reads, “Justin bieber just told in an interview that 3 songs in album are for Selena because she is his ‘first true love'”
Thousands of fans who never gave up hope in Jelena have since commented at both posts. So, are these star-crossed lovers thinking about reuniting? Or was Selena just being friendly and showing support for Justin after his frank interview?
Time will tell.
