Ryan Reynolds Hit The Streets On Halloween In Deadpool Costume

We’ve seen pictures of celebrities in their Halloween costumes the past couple of days, but there’s one more actor sharing his Halloween costume on Twitter. Ryan Reynolds shared a picture of himself donning a Deadpool costume, a black and red suit of the character that he is set to play on the big screen, together with several kids wearing X-Men costumes.

The 39-year-old actor stepped out on Halloween night, apparently not wanting to part with the suit he’s been wearing while shooting for next year’s Deadpool movie. As reported by Cinema Blend last month, principal photography for the movie wrapped up, but it will be months until we see the movie on the big screen.

Ryan Reynolds is a self-confessed fan of Deadpool, and in an interview with MSN, he said there’s only one thing that he’s determined to get after filming — Deadpool’s red and black suit.

“I loved wearing it and I have run away with one — I’ll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I’ve waited 10 years to do this movie so I’m leaving with a f*****g suit.”

It seems that the actor got what he wanted, and he’s not going to get tired of wearing it anytime soon.

Ryan Reynolds stepped out for Halloween just after the news of his father’s passing. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Reynolds is mourning the loss of his father, who passed away on October 25 at the age of 74 due to Parkinson’s disease.

As said before, fans will not see Deadpool until a few months, as it is scheduled for a February 2016 theatrical release. The months-long wait is still quite short for fans of the character, though, as Ryan Reynolds himself had to wait for several years in order to play the character on the big screen. After years of waiting, Ryan’s dream finally came true, and he was happy to be in a Deadpool movie, even if the production was given a limited budget to make it.

“Sometimes the long game pays off. I never thought it would come to fruition, it’s been an uphill battle but there was such an appetite for that character on screen. We did it with a relative pittance compared to most superhero films, but it really allowed us to explore the character. When you see the movie, you would think it’s a $150 million film, but actually it’s not at all.”

Rob Liefeld, the co-creator of Deadpool, also shared his views with USA Today regarding the upcoming movie. He says that moviegoers will definitely love the Deadpool movie. Liefeld also talked about how he pitched the idea of Deadpool to Marvel, calling the character “Spider-Man with katanas and machine guns.”

“Spider-Man was darker in 1991. He was in his thirties with marital problems. So Deadpool was a response to that. I wanted to bring back the smarta** sensibilities of the Spider-Man I read as a kid.”

The Deadpool movie will have an R rating when it hits theaters in February, which is rare for comic book films, but Liefeld wouldn’t have it any other way, as Deadpool’s character would have been lost without a little bit of R-rated goodness.

Liefeld finished the interview by saying that Deadpool will be a powerhouse.

“The movie is a powerhouse. It’s raw… I don’t know how you come out of the theater as someone between the age of 18-30 without this being your favorite movie.”
