Jessa Duggar Seewald is worried that her bun in the oven will turn out to be more like a large loaf, but her concern about Baby Seewald’s potential size hasn’t stopped her from pigging out on junk food during the final days of her pregnancy.
Jessa Duggar is now past her November 1 due date, and she’s spending her wait for Baby Seewald’s arrival speculating about how big the child will be. According to People, Jessa and her mother-in-law, Guinn Seewald, recently had a text conversation about baby weight, and Jessa shared a screenshot of the conversation on her Facebook page. As you can see, Jessa’s husband, Ben Seewald, weighed exactly a pound less than his wife.
“We’ve been taking a poll with the Duggar and Seewald families over the past few weeks, and everyone is trying to guess how much they think #BabySeewald might weigh at birth,” Jessa Duggar wrote in a post accompanying the image above. “I was the biggest out of all my siblings, weighing 9lbs 15oz– and Ben weighed 8lbs 15oz. Haha! I’d say it’s very possible we could have a chubby little baby!”
Jessa Duggar might also be concerned about Baby Seewald’s size because her older sister gave birth to such a big baby. People reports that Jill Duggar Dillard’s baby boy, Israel David Dillard, weighed in at 9 lbs., 10 oz. when he arrived back in April. He was a whopping 23 inches long, and Jill was informed that her son was the longest baby that the hospital had delivered this year as of the date of his birth. Israel was born almost two weeks after his due date, so he had plenty of extra time to grow.
If Baby Seewald had arrived on time, the tot would have shared his or her birth date with that of Jessa and Ben’s wedding anniversary. However, Jessa didn’t spend her first anniversary in labor — instead, she and Ben celebrated one year of marriage by pigging out on fast food. Duggar shared a Facebook photo of what could be her last big junk food binge before she gives birth and starts focusing on losing her baby weight.
“Sometimes, you forget about eating healthy and go for the good stuff,” Jessa wrote. “Happy anniversary, Love!”
Jessa Duggar might be putting on a cheerful front, but she actually seems somewhat desperate to get that baby out of her belly. As the Inquisitr previously reported, she revealed that she tried to induce labor by eating an entire pineapple on October 29. Obviously, chowing down on tropical fruit didn’t help, so now she’s just trying to make the most of her final days of pregnancy by filling up on less healthy treats like French fries and ice cream.
The Hollywood Gossip reports that Jessa is hoping to “one-up” her older sister by giving birth at home and having her baby’s arrival filmed for Jill & Jessa: Counting On, the series of three upcoming TV specials being produced by TLC. Jill Duggar also planned a home birth, but she was forced to head to the hospital after spending two entire days in labor. She ended up undergoing an emergency C-section.
Jessa Duggar seems to be just as determined to give birth at home as Jill was, but she’s aware that she might not succeed in popping Baby Seewald out in the comfort of her own house.
“Our plan is to have a home birth,” Jessa revealed in a post on the Duggar Family Blog. “We have lots of relatives and friends who have had wonderful experiences with giving birth at home, and we are excited and hopeful that our experience will be the same. But we also realize that sometimes (as in Jill’s case) a transfer to the hospital may be necessary, and our birth plan definitely includes a plan B.”
Do you think Jessa Duggar’s baby will be bigger than Israel? And will Jill be jealous of her sister if she succeeds in giving birth at home?
