Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Dez Bryant Active Against Seattle Seahawks

Dallas Cowboys rumors should please fantasy football owners. Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is now active to play against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, November 1. A report from CBS Sports reveals that the All Pro receiver is finally ready to return from suffering a fractured foot earlier in the season.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones broke the good news on the radio. While Bryant is still going into the game listed as questionable, it looks as though he should finally be ready to take the field again.

“We feel really good about [Dez playing]. To say that he’s full blast might be a stretch…. I do think he’s well enough that he can go in there and help us this weekend, and feel like he will do [that], barring any setbacks between now and the start of the game.”

Obviously, these Dallas Cowboys rumors have a direct impact on fantasy football leagues for Week 8, but it would still be wise for owners to keep a look at reports from the team as game time approaches on Sunday. Due to the nature of his injury, it would be risky to simply assume that he is going to play no matter what. If everything remains the same, though, and there are no setbacks, the Seahawks’ defense will have to deal with one of the best receivers in the NFL.

Dez Bryant fractured his in the first game of the NFL season. Playing against the New York Giants, the injury took place sometime during the third quarter. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo immediately spoke about how it might impact the team.

“That’s a tough loss. You can’t replace Dez Bryant. I hurt for him, right now, because I know how much he loves to play this game. You need guys to step up. No one is going to be Dez Bryant, but the guys can do what they do well, and that’s my job is to help that whole situation.”

While Bryant went through surgery that kept him out the next six weeks, it wasn’t the only blow that the Cowboys would suffer. Romo went down the very next week, putting the team in a very tough position. The Cowboys have now lost four consecutive games without the two star players, dropping the team to last place in the NFC East. It makes the game against the Seattle Seahawks an extremely important one. It’s not a stretch to state that the team might also be in a must-win situation on Sunday afternoon.

With a questionable status attached to his name, Dez Bryant is predicted to make five catches for 48 yards this weekend (by Yahoo! Sports). That’s a decent day, especially if he can find a way to get in the end zone. The bad news, according to additional Dallas Cowboys rumors, is that All Pro cornerback Richard Sherman is expected to shadow Bryant all day. That should be a good battle for NFL fans to watch, specially as the Seahawks also try to move back in a position to make the playoffs again. After starting out 3-4 this season, the Seahawks also need a win on Sunday.

Game time is 1:25 p.m. ET for Seattle vs. Dallas, with a lot on the line for both teams. It means that Dez Bryant needs to put up good numbers for the Cowboys to get in a good position to win this game. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, all the NFL experts are siding with the Seahawks in this game. Previous Dallas Cowboys rumors also indicate that Darren McFadden has taken over as the primary running back as well, so the team could look a bit different from last week.
