Jimmy Fallon Injures His Hand Again, This Time While Holding A Bottle Of Jägermeister

Jimmy Fallon went to the hospital again and yes, it was his hand again. And, no, it was the other hand this time.

As reported by People Magazine, Jimmy Fallon tripped and fell while attending Cambridge on Saturday to be honored by the Harvard Lampoon, Harvard University’s humor magazine. Fallon was holding a bottle of Jägermeister and was extremely intoxicated at the time of the fall, according to witnesses. The comedian then made a trip to Massachusetts General Hospital.

It seems like Jimmy Fallon is getting pretty comfortable in hospitals, since he had spent some time in the hospital back in June when he injured his other hand.

But, “everything is totally fine,” according to People.

“It was all part of the celebration in the street and some random girl kneeled down in front of him abruptly as he was turning around and he tripped over her because he didn’t see her.”

Looking serious, but still in good spirits, Jimmy Fallon arrived at the campus to be honored with the Elmer Award for Excellence in Humor, an award that has not yet been given away in this century.

The Tonight Show host has had a cast on a finger on his left hand for four months now, and now he managed to injure his other hand, which A.V. Club said is like a Final Destination curse.

Jimmy Fallon explained on Monday night’s episode of his Tonight Show that he wanted to give the Harvard band an award – a bottle of Jägermeister, which (apparently) explains why he was holding Jägermeister in his hand, but doesn’t explain why he was “extremely intoxicated,” as some witnesses had said.

Jimmy Fallon attempted to explain the bottle of Jägermeister on his show, Entertainment Weekly reported.

“So somebody gives me a bottle of Jägermeister. Apparently some girl was going to kneel down and give me a flower or something. So she knelt down. I didn’t see her.”

Fallon then acted out his fall and said he dropped the bottle as he fell and landed with his right hand on broken glass.

The talk show host was then taken to the hospital to see if there was any remaining glass in his hand and was released with two band aids on his right hand.

“I’m so used to going to hospitals now. It’s kind of fun.”

According to Hollywood Gossip, Tonight Show producers as well as NBC execs are poised to convince Jimmy Fallon to enter rehab before he does any further damage to his body or reputation.

Bob Greenblatt, NBC Entertainment chairman, “is monitoring the situation closely,” Hollywood Gossip reported.

“If he needs to intervene, it will be done.”

Four months ago, Jimmy Fallon was hospitalized with a left hand injury after he fell and caught his wedding ring on the corner of a table, nearly severing the finger. The comic then tweeted a photo of his left hand injury, explaining that he “tripped and caught my fall (good thing)! Ring caught on side of table almost ripped my finger off (bad thing).”

It’s not like only 2015 is such an unfortunate year for Jimmy Fallon. Back in 2013, he wore bandages on his hand for several weeks after cutting himself at home while making salsa, according to Hollywood Gossip.

In his most recent incident, one of the witnesses said there was no doubt that Jimmy Fallon was extremely intoxicated at the time of his fall.

“He was definitely drunk. At first people thought it was a joke when he fell since he had hurt himself before.”
