‘Scream Queens’ To Add ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’s’ Lady Gaga For Season 2?

Given the success Scream Queens has enjoyed so far in its debut season, it is very likely that the show will be renewed for a second year. With that in mind, Ryan Murphy is already making plans to ensure that the second season features plenty of star power by adding a pop star into the mix.

In fact, according to Design & Trend, Murphy is planning to add American Horror Story: Hotel star Lady Gaga to Season 2 of Scream Queens. Apparently, the executives at Fox were overcome with excitement over this new development, which means that Murphy’s plan just might come to fruition.

“I just pitched to Fox the second season. Everybody loves the idea of it, and the conceit is three or four of the cast members [from Season 1] survive,” Murphy explained in the interview. “[And in the] second season, the survivors go off to a new venue — a horror based venue — and then they have to fight a new killer, a new villain, a new threat. I’ve already started to meet those cast members.”

As fans are well aware, Gaga is currently starring as the lead in Murphy’s other horror series, American Horror Story: Hotel. Although it was a bit of a mystery as to how Gaga would perform in her first lead role, she has been a hit so far with critics and fans alike. Her success on AHS is certainly one reason why Murphy is considering adding her to Scream Queens.

With that in mind, Murphy was recently asked by Bustle about Gaga being incorporated into the female strong cast of Scream Queens. Not only did Murphy state that Gaga “watches it,” but that she also “loves it” and has expressed a desire to be a part of the show.

Exactly what role Gaga would play in the series is unknown, but based on her performance so far in AHS, she would certainly add a lot of depth to Scream Queens. Additionally, Gaga’s presence on the show would also help boost its ratings, which is another motivation for her to be featured in the series.

Meanwhile, there are a number of other cast members of AHS that have also expressed a strong desire to crossover into Scream Queens. Evan Peters has been the most vocal about joining the show, saying, “I’d love to be on [Scream Queens].”

At the same time, it would be great to see Jessica Lange team up with Murphy once again following her departure from AHS after the last season. Furthermore, Matt Bomer, Taissa Farmiga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, and Angela Bassett would all be great considerations for additions to the show. Obviously, all of them couldn’t be added to Scream Queens, but it would be nice to see a few of them included in the next season.

Whatever ends up happening with the casting in Season 2 will likely be determined by what unfolds in the first season. According to TV Series, filming for Season 1 has just about finished, which means that Murphy can now focus his attention on a potential follow-up.

Hopefully, as the series continues to develop, fans will have a better idea as to which characters will be surviving and which ones will be killed off. That being said, the identity of the red devil is not going to be revealed until the very end, so fans have a little while to wait for that revelation.

While we wait for more casting news for the second season of Scream Queens, fans can watch the first season as it continues to unfold Tuesday nights on FOX.
