Rob Kardashian: Lamar Odom Is Concerned The Kardashians Are Putting To Much Pressure On The Depressed Star

Rob Kardashian’s brother-in-law, Lamar Odom, is reportedly concerned for his mental health. Earlier this week, Rob Kardashian’s sister, Khloe Kardashian, spoke to People Magazine, slamming Rob Kardashian for wasting his life, and encouraging him to get up and start living.

For the last few years, Rob Kardashian has struggled with depression, which has led him to draw away from the public eye, and pack on what may be, as was reported, a whopping 100 pounds in just one year’s time. And while Khloe surely only wants what’s best for him, Odom is reportedly upset about her interview, and wishes she hadn’t commented on Rob Kardashian’s personal battles. On October 29, a source revealed the following to Hollywood Life read as follows.

“If there’s one person who’s fragile and in touch with his feelings, it’s Lamar. He heard what Khloe said in People Magazine about [Rob Kardashian] wasting his life, and he knows it was said out of love, but he worries that Rob isn’t strong and he may not respond well to pressure to get his life together. Lamar has asked Khloe to go easy on [Rob Kardashian].”

Throughout Odom’s marriage to Khloe, he and Rob Kardashian were extremely close. As Khloe revealed in her interview, Rob Kardashian looked up to Odom as a father figure. So, when they split in 2013 after nearly four years of marriage, Rob Kardashian was left brokenhearted due to the end of his close relationship with Odom, who was accused of using drugs and having affairs while married to Khloe.

Speaking to People Magazine, Khloe explained, “[Rob Kardashian’s] such a great guy. That’s what’s so infuriating. I’m like, ‘Where is your will to live? Let’s be around people!’ But I can’t win life for [Rob Kardashian]. I have to wait until he’s ready to get to a place where he can do it himself. It’s sad, because he’s only wasting his life more and more.”

Khloe also revealed she had offered Rob Kardashian a chef to assist him with weight loss, but it doesn’t appear he took her up on the offer. That said, there have been reports claiming Rob Kardashian has lost a substantial amount of weight in the last few weeks.

Just last month, Us Weekly revealed Rob Kardashian had lost 15 pounds with the help of a healthy diet, and training by Gunnar Peterson.

On August 31, Rob Kardashian, who hasn’t been very active on social media for the last couple of years, shared a rare selfie, and in the photo, he appeared to be noticeably thinner. In the caption of the self portrait, Rob Kardashian wrote, “Gnight.” Still, despite his apparent weight loss progress, Rob Kardashian has only been seen a handful of times publicly since bailing on sister Kim Kardashian’s wedding to Kanye West’s in May 2014. Rob Kardashian also hasn’t been seen on Keeping Up With The Kardashians since 2012 — but that soon may change.

“He’s not getting paid if he doesn’t film. He has a $2 million-a-year contract. [Rob Kardashian] realized he couldn’t give up this huge opportunity.”

According to the report, Rob Kardashian filmed a few scenes for Keeping Up With The Kardashian‘s upcoming 11th season, but so far, there has been no official confirmation regarding his return to the show, and he was not seen in the recently-released season 11 trailer.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians Season 11 premieres on the E! Network on Sunday, November 15, at 9 p.m.
