Selena Gomez to Work With Taylor Swift, Fun. on Next Album?

Disney star turned singer Selena Gomez has recently put her music career on hold to focus on a handful of films due out in 2013.

It turns out, however, that the 19-year-old is more than ready to get back into the studio to work on her more “adult” fourth album!

Over the weekend, Selena launched her self-titled debut fragrance at NYC’s Macy’s Herald Square. During the event Gomez dished on her future music plans:

“I finished three movies this year, so I’m very happy about that, because it’s exactly what I wanted: I wanted to do film for a little bit,” she told MTV News on Saturday. “But I am missing music, so we’re going to start on the fourth record at the end of this year.”

Gomez went on to say her forthcoming album would lend listeners a “very different” sound than her third record, “When the Sun Goes Down,” which consisted primarily of pop.

“I want to go for producers that probably wouldn’t want me to do their songs. I just want to knock on their door. I also want to work with Fun. I want to work with just different styles of music.”

In addition to collaborating with Fun. and making “very different” music, Selena Gomez revealed she also wishes to work with BFF Taylor Swift on her forth studio release.

The IBTimes points out Gomez and Swift — who are reportedly very close friends — shared the same stage during a recent concert of the former Disney star and the fans indeed loved the pairing.

“I also want to work with Taylor [Swift] too. So I just want to do different things for this album,” said Selena. “By the time it comes out, I’ll almost be 21, so I want to be able to – wow, that sounds really scary! I want it to be older.”
