Taylor Swift Lawsuit Slams Man Who Sued Her After Allegedly Groping Her: Ed Sheeran Shares Why He’s On Swift’s Squad

Taylor Swift is in the midst of a lawsuit battle. After a Denver radio host sued Swift based on claims that she’s responsible for the loss of his job due to allegations that he groped during her a photo session, Swift is responding with her own lawsuit, reports the New York Daily News.

The legal battle began in September. David Mueller filed his lawsuit in the Denver U.S. District Court and claimed that one of the security team members who worked with Taylor had lied by saying that Mueller had grabbed Swift’s derriere. The groping allegedly occurred in June of 2013, when Taylor was at the Pepsi Center’s backstage area.

Although David Mueller claimed he had not assaulted Swift, he lost his position at KYGO radio a few days after the alleged incident.

In her counterclaim, Swift reveals the former Denver radio host has blamed one of the other radio station employees for the assault. However, Taylor is targeting Mueller, say her lawyers in her counter argument.

“Mueller’s newfound claim that he is the ‘wrong guy’ and, therefore, his termination from KYGO was unjustified, is specious. Ms. Swift knows exactly who committed the assault — it was Mueller.”

Moreover, the lawyers representing Taylor Swift described her as shocked, perturbed, and “offended” when Swift was allegedly groped by David. The incident, which happened prior to her concert in a meet-and-greet arrangement, went beyond Mueller touching Swift. According to the documents filed by Swift’s attorneys, the former radio host took her skirt and pushed it up.

Taylor Swift has a publicist who made a statement on her behalf. According to that statement, which was issued after Mueller’s lawsuit was filed against Swift, Mueller’s management has received evidence that their employee groped the pop singer, and the radio company therefore chose, according to its own investigation, to let him go.

Swift is seeking a trial by jury but emphasizes that if the lawsuit results in a monetary gain for her, she will donate it to nonprofit groups “dedicated to protecting women from similar acts of sexual assault and personal disregard.”

In addition, the court papers filed by the attorneys representing Taylor Swift emphasized that Swift wanted to send a message with her lawsuit, reported the Daily Mail.

“Resolution of this Counterclaim will demonstrate that Mueller alone was the perpetrator of the humiliating and wrongful conduct targeted against Ms. Swift, and will serve as an example to other women who may resist publicly reliving similar outrageous and humiliating acts.”

The lawsuit also describes the way in which the former radio host assaulted Swift, noting that he deliberately committed the act.

“[Mueller] intentionally reached under her skirt, and groped with his hand an intimate part of her body in an inappropriate manner, against her will, and without her permission…He lifted her skirt and groped her,” claim the court documents filed by the attorneys for Taylor.

Mueller’s version is different, blaming Swift for causing him to be fired. In the ex-radio host’s lawsuit, he describes how he and his girlfriend accepted a backstage invitation. They were given a photo opportunity with Taylor in the backstage section of the center prior to watching the show. In addition, Mueller describes how another employee at the same radio station boasted that he had also had a photo with Swift but then groped her derriere.

However, Mueller also claimed that one of Taylor Swift’s security team members came up to him and blamed him for assaulting Swift. Subsequently, when his employer learned about that incident, he lost his job.

It’s turned into a he-said, she-said lawsuit that will subsequently play out in court.

And, as Swift goes through the aftermath of her lawsuit filing, she knows one man who’s ready to support her. Ed Sheeran says he’s proud to be a member of Swift’s squad, reports People.

Swift is known for her celebrity friends such as her BFF Selena Gomez, but Ed Sheeran says he’s among them. When Sheeran was questioned as to whether he is a member of her closely knit group, Sheeran emphasized his membership in that club.

“Of course. It’s not a vaginas-only club,” joked the singer.
