‘Arrow’/’The Flash’ Crossover To Launch ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’? — Absolutely Everything We Know So Far

One of the most exciting things about the upcoming seasons of Arrow and The Flash is the part both series will play in the launch of the upcoming series, Legends of Tomorrow. Along with all the crossover action that is set to occur between Arrow and The Flash, what else can fans expect to see in regards to CW’s expanding comic universe?

According to MTV News, the crossover between Arrow and The Flash will directly lead to the launch of Legends of Tomorrow. While this isn’t necessarily new information, Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) recently revealed that all three series mixing together is something that is a great achievement for the all the shows.

“In general, we’ve done an excellent job of weaving not just two shows, but three shows together… As always, it was logistically challenging, but I think when they’re finished, whenever that is, because there’s little pieces here and there to grab, I think that these … crossover episodes standing together will probably be, in my mind, the pinnacle achievement for both shows.”

Aside from leading to Legends of Tomorrow, what specific characters can fans expect to see in the crossover episodes? Although Iris West (Candice Patton) will not be a part of the crossovers, fans should be excited about the prospects of seeing a first look at the main villain in Legends of Tomorrow, Vandal Savage (Casper Crump).

In regards to Savage’s appearance in the crossover episodes, Amell showed some excitement about the new villain. “Vandal Savage, by the way, is a spectacular character,” he shared. “We have a common villain, which was not the case last year.”

Meanwhile, unlike past crossover specials, the upcoming ones will also be more integrated in nature. In fact, Amell revealed that the crossovers will include the characters traveling to each other’s cities.

“If you put them back to back on one night, they would run like one two-hour episode of television … In fact, most of The Flash episode takes place in Star City, and most of the Arrow episode takes place in Central City,” he stated.

Naturally, another aspect of the crossover to look forward involves the new interactions between characters on both shows. With that in mind, Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon, promised that fans would be treated with new relationships during the crossover episodes.

“One of my favorite parts about the crossovers is that, you get to see people that you wouldn’t otherwise see interact, interact,” he stated. “And that sort of creates a mysticism, like fireworks, about it. So I think fans can definitely expect a lot of new relationships to blossom and new interactions to arise.”

Speaking of interactions, fans can expect to see Caitlin and Felicity coming together for a short time in the coming installments. “You do get to see a little bit more interaction between Caitlin and Felicity. Just little tiny bits of it,” Danielle Panabaker revealed. “Those crossovers, it’s a lot to pack into a 45-minute-ish episode… We gots to nab our Bechdel interactions where we can get it, we suppose …”

At the same time, Zap2it is reporting that the crossover episodes will feature more superheroes at the same time than has ever been seen before. To be more specific, Amell revealed that, “We shot a scene that had, like, nine superheroes in it. Nine people with either powers or super suits.”

While it still is not known exactly when the crossover episodes will occur, the new season of The Flash continues Tuesday nights on The CW, while Arrow airs Wednesday night of The CW.
