Carrie Underwood Headlining ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest’, Country Superstar Will Heat Up The Stage To Ring In 2016

Country superstar Carrie Underwood will be spending New Year’s Eve with Ryan Seacrest this year and with millions of others who will be ringing in the new year in Times Square. She has just been announced as the headliner for Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2016.

Each year, this event has a different performer who brings the heat to the cold winter air of New York City. Rolling Stone shared the news that the American Idol winner will be reuniting with that show’s longtime host to watch the ball drop into a brand new year. Carrie said that she is thrilled to be spending the holiday in New York City.

“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than New York’s Times Square, one of the most magical places in the world, to ring in the New Year.”

Underwood is a perfect choice since she is one hot mama these days. Not only is she experiencing being a first-time mom to son Isaiah, but she also just released her fifth studio album, Storyteller. In addition, she will be going out on tour next year to bring her new music to her fans. Carrie is going to be one busy lady, but she doesn’t seem to mind. She will have her son with her to keep her company.

Underwood will most likely have her baby and her hockey-playing husband, Mike Fisher, with her on December 31 to give them her special New Year’s Eve love. This time last year, Carrie was anticipating the birth of her first child, but this year has her anticipating her world tour and getting to share it with little Isaiah, even though he doesn’t really know just how popular his mommy is yet.

December 31 also has somewhat of a romantic significance for Carrie Underwood. She recently admitted to Us Weekly that she had her first kiss with her husband on New Year’s Eve when they first started dating. They have been married for five years now and are still as strong as ever.

Ryan Seacrest is happy that he will have Carrie Underwood to rock out with that night. He has had the privilege of hosting New Year’s Rockin’ Eve for 10 years now after taking over from the late Dick Clark, who started this musical tradition. Seacrest has had many performers join him for the event over the years. Last year, he spent his New Year’s Eve with Taylor Swift and Florida Georgia Line. The biggest names in the music industry have been invited to share this night with millions of people around the world. Now he will get to share it with the “Smoke Break” singer.

He even gave Carrie some advice before she steps onto the stage in the wintry New York City. Seacrest sent out this tweet to her.

“Hey @carrieunderwood, I hope u have long johns and good ear muffs.. I’ll see u in times square for @OfficalNYRE 2016!”

Fergie was also announced to be coming back to continue her hosting duties from Hollywood, only her portion is pre-taped. She will also be on stage singing as always, along with other musical guests. In addition, Jenny McCarthy will bring her charm, humor, and maybe even her husband, actor/singer Donnie Wahlberg. She will be reporting live in New York down in the crowd, getting as crazy as she always does.

You will be able to see Carrie Underwood as she shares hosting duties with Brad Paisley at the 2015 CMA Awards on November 4. This will be their eighth year as co-hosts, and viewers are looking forward to seeing who they will be making fun of this year. Of course, it is all in good humor. After that, Carrie will be preparing for New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. She will definitely be rocking the stage with her new music and maybe even her biggest hits as well.

The live Times Square party begins at 8 p.m. ET on December 31 on ABC.
