Justin Bieber Sensationally Walks Out Of Interview [Watch]

Justin Bieber walked out of an interview with a Spanish radio station yesterday.

Watch Justin cringe, adjust his hat, force (admittedly very convincing) warm smiles, and take ever-longer sips of water to soothe himself as four Spanish interviewers jabber over each other.

The interview had been a very stop-and-go affair, with long pauses as the Spanish-speaking interviewers translated comments for each other and a funny misunderstanding where the lead interviewer asked Justin if he goes to “the disco” (a rather outdated ’70s term) to party. Justin responds with surprise, “You guys still go to the disco?” He then appears to realize that the Spaniards are asking him about partying in general, but politely opts to stick with his previous answer (“no”).

Female fans of the hottie, who were upset to see him in distress, can take heart in Justin’s declaration that “there is no woman” in his life — a confirmation of his continuing singledom.

At the end of the video, the interviewers ask Justin if he will participate in a clip they want to make that will “break the internet” (a reference to Paper Magazine “Break The Internet” shoot which showcased the oiled breasts and buttocks and rather adorable facial expressions of a flirty Kim Kardashian). Justin appears to agree to participate in his own “Break The Internet” shoot for the station, marveling at the ambitious stated goal (to gain “thousands of millions” of followers). But — surprise! — he then walks to the door instead of to the room where the shoot is planned.

One of the female interviewers can be heard to call “Justin!” in an attempt to lure the superstar back. The video then cuts out, with a caption in Spanish explaining that Justin Bieber kept walking and did not return.

Later, Justin apologizes for the incident on Twitter, saying he had a great time in Spain and regrets that he felt a little sick, adding, “ants made me feel better” alongside a smiley emoji.

It was not clear what Justin meant about ants, prompting fans to wonder if “ants” was a nickname for a reassuring friend or perhaps some kind of medication.

One person claimed Justin was referring to the plush buck-toothed ant puppets that are used on the same show where the hottie was feeling sick.

The hapless interviewers did manage to get some Purpose album info out of the Canadian star before he walked out. Justin talked about his move to dance music (the recent hits “What Do You Mean?” and “Sorry,” which represent quite a shift from the Biebs’ old sound), saying that he doesn’t believe the shift will alienate fans, because his music is moving in “a cool direction”.

Justin’s lack of concern about scaring fans away comes through strongly when he says of his fans, “they love me!, drawing laughs from the interviewers.

Justin also reveals that his upcoming Purpose album, which will come out on November 13 and which is now available for pre-order, will not be only dance tracks but will include some vibey, acoustic songs. In fact, the hottie reveals that about half of Purpose will be made up of such slower or more pared-down tunes, and the other half will be dance tracks in the vein of “Sorry.”

Justin Bieber’s collaborators on Purpose include people like Ariana Grande (whose remix of smash hit “What Do You Mean?” is available only to fans who pre-order Purpose), Drake (who Justin revealed as his pick when asked by the Spaniards who he would award with a “Best Male” EMA award), and Halsey, whose collaboration with Justin was reported on by Complex magazine. Justin also posted a clip of Halsey promo-ing her Purpose track on his own Instagram.

Justin has also confirmed that Kanye West, who is famous for creating endless mixes of his songs, was involved with Purpose, though it is not clear in what capacity. Justin joked to Zach Sang that Kanye always makes “hundreds of mixes” for his own albums but then ends up “using the first one.” Could the rap superstar have tinkered with Purpose tracks only to have his remixes end up on the cutting-room floor?

Purpose by Justin Bieber will be out on November 13, and hopefully the crooner will be feeling better in time for his next round of promos.

Are you looking forward to Justin Bieber’s Purpose?
