Khloe Kardashian Offered Support From Rick Fox As Lamar Odom’s Condition Worsens? ‘There Will Be Lasting Effects’

Khloe Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend, French Montana, spoke out last week, applauding her for standing by Lamar Odom during his health crisis, and now, a second Khloe Kardashian ex has released a statement. On Tuesday, Rick Fox, who dated Khloe Kardashian briefly earlier this year, revealed his support for the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and her husband.

“I sent a text offering any help I can give,” Fox revealed to Us Weekly on October 27. “Anything needed, I am here for Lamar, definitely. I hope he is making progress.”

On October 13, as reported by TMZ, Khloe Kardashian’s then-estranged husband, Odom, was found unconscious at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. After staff members at the ranch discovered mucus coming from the former professional athlete’s nose and mouth, they called 911. A short time later, Odom was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was stabilized and intubated, which indicated he was not able to breathe on his own. Later that same day, as Khloe Kardashian and her family quickly flew to Las Vegas via private jet, Odom was taken to a second hospital, where he was said to be in a coma with many of his vital organs failing.

Since then, Odom has been taken to Los Angeles, where he is currently receiving care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“The pneumonia was a huge setback, and now there’s worry about permanent scarring of the lungs,” a source told People Magazine on October 26. “His kidneys are still not functioning correctly, but he’s nowhere near strong enough to even think of a transplant, so he’s on dialysis.”

The source continued on, claiming Khloe Kardashian’s husband could carry out simple directions, but not in a speedy manner. Instead, Odom is taking things slow. That said, he’s reportedly doing “way better” than he had been doing last week, when TMZ reported he had undergone two emergency surgeries, which left him in a “fragile” state, both physically and mentally.

“He has wrecked his body, so it’ll take time to figure out how well he can come back. But everyone knows that he’ll never be the same as he was before this happened. There will always be lasting effects, and doctors are just trying to minimize them.”

Meanwhile, on Twitter, Khloe Kardashian shared a behind-the-scenes video from the photo shoot for her upcoming book, Strong Looks Better Naked.

Speaking of the upcoming release, via E! News, Khloe Kardashian told fans, “I am so excited about sharing my philosophy on how I live and the power of strength. I hope to be an inspiration to readers everywhere on how they can create their own true strength and beauty inside and out.”

According to the report, Khloe Kardashian’s first solo book (she co-released 2010’s Kardashian Konfidential and 2012’s Dollhouse with her older sisters, Kim and Kourtney) includes how-to advice and lifestyle tips, as well as stories of Khloé’s struggles with weight, relationships, and her self-image. The reality star has lost at least 35 pounds and gotten more fit over the past year, with the help of a personal trainer.
