Ramona Singer Wants More Money: Bravo Offer ‘Insulting’ Daily Pay Per Scene

Ramona Singer is not filming The Real Housewives of New York at the moment. Singer, who has been on the show for years, isn’t filming because she wants more money from Bravo. She has Sonja Morgan and Luann de Lesseps on her side, and all three of them have yet to film a scene for the popular show. And while Bravo can’t match their desires for a $1 million salary, they are trying to make the ladies happy.

Of course, Ramona Singer is currently one of the longest standing housewives. She and Luann started filming Season 1, but Luann did take a step back and became a friend of the wives for a while. Singer, however, stayed on as a full-time housewife and shared everything from her thriving business to her painful divorce.

According to a new Radar Online report, Ramona Singer is now being offered a daily rate to film The Real Housewives of New York. Ramona had tried to get a season salary on the same level as Bethenny Frankel, but Bravo doesn’t want to dish up the money.

“The network is offering Ramona Singer, Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, and Sonja Morgan a daily shoot rate, which means they each would be paid only per day that they actually film,” the source has revealed, adding, “They never had these type of contracts before.”

Bethenny Frankel, Carole Radziwill, and Dorinda Medley have all been offered season contracts. This means that the ladies will be given a certain number for filming the season. For Bethenny, the rumored number is $1 million. However, Ramona, Sonja, and Luann have not agreed to their season contracts. Apparently, they wanted more money for filming the show. However, Bravo didn’t want to increase their season contracts, and have now come out with another offer.

“Ramona, Sonja and LuAnn want seasonal contracts like they had before and like the other women are getting. It’s not fair that the other girls are getting seasonal contracts,” the source reveals, hinting that the ladies would now go to a pay-per-scene payment system, where they would only be paid for the days when they film.

Of course, the ladies may be shooting themselves in the foot by holding out for something bigger. Bethenny Frankel has many professional friends who may be willing to film the show. She was the one who introduced Aviva Drescher to the franchise. Plus, there could be another switch up, since two housewives have already departed. Heather Thomson announced that she would be leaving The Real Housewives of New York behind to focus on her business. And this week, Kristen Taekman joined her.

“My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends,” Kristen Taekman revealed to Us Weekly, adding, “At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures Pop Of Color nail polish and Last Night’s Look, my fashion blog. I will remain a Housewife and part of an amazing franchise forever and that is what is important.”

One can imagine that Ramona Singer would love to continue with The Real Housewives of New York, but she may feel that she is worth more than what she is being offered. Many fans have expressed disappointment in this move, as they want Sonja, Luann, and Ramona Singer back on the show full-time. Some have argued that the show won’t be the same without them, and that Bravo should dish out the money to get them back on the show.

What do you think of Ramona Singer’s new offer to get paid per day? Do you think this is an insulting offer?
