‘RHOC’ Brooks Ayers Interview — Did It Make Fans Hate Him Any Less? Does Anyone Believe He Has Cancer?

The controversy surrounding Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Brooks Ayers and his bout with cancer continues to unfold as the show wraps up its current season. With the hit reality series getting ready to air Part 2 of its reunion, a new interview with Ayers and Melanie Bromley has been released.

In the interview, which was released by E! News, Ayers discussed his fight with cancer and his recent split with RHOC star Vicki Gunvalson. In regards to his diagnosis with cancer, Ayers talked about what his current treatment was like and how he handles all the accusations that he is lying.

“I know the truth and I have to block out the noise and realize where it’s being initiated from.”

As fans will recall, the subject of Ayers’ fight with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma has been a major focal point throughout the latter half of this season of RHOC. While most of ladies supported Gunvalson and Ayers at the beginning of the controversy, many of them have since switched sides after a visit with a psychic and Ayers’ partying.

As far as dealing with the ladies on the show who have accused him of fabricating his cancer diagnosis, Ayers was adamant that he would not lower himself to their level.

“I don’t fight the way those ladies fight. They fight below the belt,” Ayers explained. “I was brought up a little differently, and that’s sad for me on the outside, but what am I supposed to do? Do you fight, cuss with women? I don’t do that. It’s not gonna happen. I’m not gonna bring up that Simon [Barney] hates Tamra and that she has issues with her 16-year-old daughter.”

Meanwhile, despite Brooks Ayers‘ comments in his recent interview, many are still doubting whether or not he has cancer. In fact, according to Jezebel, the entire Bromley interview had enough strange moments to make it seem a little contrived and maybe even rehearsed.

With that in mind, the interview did bring up some irregularities in Ayers storyline, as the reality star continued to offer excuses for all of the different allegations that have been made against him. Instead of clearing things up and getting people on his side, the interview seems to have only cast more doubt on his fight with cancer.

For starters, Ayers stated that he was now in the second stage of his cancer instead of the third and was currently trying the “holistic approach.” This includes a change in diet and detoxing, which doesn’t sound like it would be very effective in terms of fighting a serious disease like cancer.

Additionally, Ayers also discussed the confusion surrounding his past lies about cancer. Ayers stated that he had not been diagnosed with “nose cancer” in the past, and the mix up had occurred when he tried to explain to his ex-girlfriend that he had Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

At the same time, Ayers was also accused of lying about having pancreatic cancer to Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Culberson. In regards to these reports, Ayers blamed the mix up on the information not being passed on correctly, like what happens in the game of telephone. Instead, Ayers stated that he only had pancreatitis and stated that he was not diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at that time.

Lastly, Ayers addressed the evidence that was offered up by Tamra Judge, who noted inconsistencies and possible forgery of Ayers’ PET scan results. To clear this up, Ayers stated that he was simply taken to a different hospital to do the scans and not the one that Judge went to.

Clearly, Ayers does offer some convincing counterarguments to the allegations that he is lying about having cancer. With only two more episodes to go, the truth of the issue will hopefully be resolved soon.

Part 2 of the reunion for The Real Housewives of Orange County continues Monday night on Bravo.
