With filming for the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills currently underway, it has been revealed that the ladies are headed to an exotic location for Season 6. In fact, cast members of the hit reality show are currently filming in Dubai for a vacation episode that will be included in the coming season.
According to Radar Online, an inside source revealed that Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, and Lisa Rinna were "all together filming for season 6 in Dubai for their only out of the country vacation for the upcoming season." Also included in the filming were newcomers Erika Jayne and Kathryn Edwards.
The new vacation spot follows what was a drama-filled outing in Amsterdam last season, which featured a fight between Rinna and Kim Richards. As fans may recall, the dispute between the two stars turned violent after a wine glass was thrown.
With the ladies venturing out and expanding their borders this season, they may have trouble topping the drama in Amsterdam last season on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. This is especially true considering that Dubai has strict laws regulating the sale of alcohol. Although this likely won't stop any of the cast members from Beverly Hills, it will make things interesting.
At the same time, the only other filming location that has been confirmed took place a few weeks ago in Los Angeles. This scene included Vanderpump, Rinna, and Richards coming together in support for the prevention of animal abuse.
Meanwhile, the show is undergoing some major changes in casting with the absence of Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards. In regards to the casting news, Vanderpump stated that the interactions between her fellow co-stars have changed significantly in the new season.
"Having Brandi and Kim gone is different, but then there are other dynamics and there is other differences of opinion," she stated. "Already there are lots of new arguments caused by differences of opinion."
As fans may remember, Glanville hinted that she would not be returning to the show via a social media post this past fall, and her decision was ultimately confirmed by the network.
"I woke up with a sore throat and a HUGE decision to make today!" she wrote on Twitter.
For her part, Kim has had several bouts with substance abuse that led to her departure from the show last season. Although Kim has spent some time in rehab for her issues, she has continued to struggle with her addiction and was recently placed in the hospital after a shoplifting incident.
In regards to Kim making a return to the show, an inside source told Us Magazine that there is a slim chance that will happen.
"The RHOBH producers really have no interest in bringing her back to the show," the source stated. "Kim needs to get help and it needs to happen outside of the show."
Although the reality show will be missing two of its former cast members, it is set to add a few new faces to the mix. One of these new ladies includes Erika Jane, who is known for her musical talents and hails from Atlanta, Georgia. Jane's husband, Thomas V. Girardi, has close ties with both Yolanda and David Foster.
Additionally, according to Us Magazine, Kathryn Edwards is slated to join the series. Edwards is the former wife of NFL star Marcus Allen, who is currently married to Donnie Edwards, a former NFL player.
With all the changes set to occur in Season 6, from the departure of two cast members and the addition of a few more, it is clear that the new season is going to have a different feel to it than last season. Whether or not the newcomers can supply the type of drama the show thrives on is yet to be seen.
Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is set to air in the coming months on Bravo.
