Lamar Odom’s Health Takes A Turn For The Worse, Visitors Banned [Report]

Lamar Odom has reportedly taken a turn for the worse after being flown to Los Angeles from Las Vegas on Monday. According to a new report, Odom’s condition has failed to improve in recent days, and due to his pneumonia diagnosis, doctors have reportedly restricted him from having visitors.

Lamar Odom “has now developed pneumonia,” an insider told Radar Online on October 22. “He has gotten weaker since arriving at Cedars Sinai in L.A.”

When Lamar Odom arrived in L.A. on Monday, Khloe was at his side, and the following day, Kris Jenner and Khloe’s older sister, Kim, paid him a visit. Now, however, as Lamar Odom remains unable to walk with his kidney on dialysis, his physicians have put a ban on anyone else entering his hospital room.

“[Lamar Odom]’s doctors told Khloe [that] Lamar was at a risk of getting infections from visitors, and told her he couldn’t have any more until his health improved.”

Since Lamar Odom was hospitalized last week, Kardashian has been at his side. On Tuesday, just hours after news of Odom’s hospitalization broke, Kardashian and her mother, Kris Jenner, and sister Kim Kardashian flew to Las Vegas via private jet, where they remained until Friday when Odom came out of his coma. Although the majority of the Kardashian family left Odom at that point, Kardashian did not, and since he fell ill, she’s stayed with him — even flying in with him in a medical helicopter on Monday.

All the while, Kardashian had been acting as a supportive wife, despite Lamar Odom’s drug habit, and on Wednesday, TMZ announced news that their divorce petition had been withdrawn. According to the site, Kardashian and Lamar Odom both signed documents to terminate their divorce proceedings and remain married.

“Khloe is telling people that want to visit [Lamar Odom] to continue to pray, and has also said visitors could be allowed this weekend if his health improves.”

In TMZ’s latest health update, shared on October 22, new details about Lamar Odom’s visit to Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch South were revealed. According to the report, Lamar Odom had likely been snorting cocaine and popping mystery pills in the days leading up to him being found unconscious by two women at the facility. In a search warrant obtained by police, an interview with the prostitutes was recapped as follows.

“Through interviews with the prostitutes who were with him since that point, it was learned that he possibly ingested cocaine in the bathroom adjoining in the bedroom in which the prostitutes were located along with Mr. Odom. They indicated they heard him snorting. They indicated that they had vague knowledge of him using illicit narcotics.”

It was also noted in the report that Lamar Odom was seen taking an “unknown substance in the form of an unidentified pill, which he obtained from his pocket in a plastic bag that was unmarked.”

Lamar Odom and Kardashian tied the knot in September 2009 and remained together until late 2013 when Kardashian filed for divorce due to Lamar Odom’s alleged drug use and affairs with other women. During their marriage, Lamar Odom and Kardashian documented their relationship on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Khloe & Lamar, their E! Network spinoff.

Although Kardashian filed for divorce nearly two years ago, she and Lamar Odom remained married due to a judge’s failure to sign off on their split. While it was reported over the summer that the couple’s divorce had been finalized, there was actually one more step that hadn’t been completed, which left Kardashian in charge of Lamar Odom’s medical care after he was hospitalized.
