Khloe Kardashian Faces Lawsuit After Calling Off Lamar Odom Divorce: Find Out How James Harden Is Involved

Khloe Kardashian is facing a lawsuit due to a fireworks display she arranged for James Harden in August. For Harden’s 26th birthday, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star arranged for a fireworks display at midnight, which a man named James Ferguson claims was “a disturbance that harmed our family and pet.”

According to an October 22 report by TMZ, Ferguson filed a suit against Khloe Kardashian in small claims court, requesting $7,500 in damages.

Khloe Kardashian threw the 26th birthday celebration for Harden off the coast of Marina Del Rey, California, on August 25. As E! News revealed at the time, a yacht took off around 11 p.m. and set off the fireworks display about an hour later. The boat then returned to the marina around 1 a.m. the next morning to drop off members of the Kardashian/Jenner family, including Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, and Kris Jenner and her boyfriend, Corey Gamble. Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian and her then-boyfriend continued to party with friends until about 3 a.m.

In other Khloe Kardashian news, the reality star has called off her divorce from Lamar Odom in the wake of his current health crisis. On October 21, TMZ was first to report news of their divorce dismissal, claiming both parties signed documents to have their petition for divorce thrown out (Odom signed his document from his hospital bed at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he is currently recovering from a drug overdose last week).

On October 22, TMZ claimed the reasoning behind Khloe Kardashian’s decision to call off her divorce was due to Odom’s promise to steer clear of drugs from here on out.

The site revealed Odom admitted to cheating divorce in a conversation with Khloe Kardashian, and told her, “I am done with drugs.”

Odom is also extremely grateful to Khloe Kardashian for supporting him after his overdose. As TMZ previously revealed, Khloe Kardashian, her mother Kris Jenner, and her sister Kim Kardashian boarded a private jet immediately after hearing that Odom had been found unconscious at a brothel in Las Vegas, and since then, Khloe Kardashian has remained by his side. She even flew in the medical helicopter with him when he was transported from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, and she doesn’t appear to have left the hospital since they arrived.

“He repeatedly told her that he loved her, and that was enough,” TMZ explained.

However, due to Odom’s troubled past, not everyone from Khloe Kardashian’s family is happy about her decision, as they’ve reportedly “heard this from Lamar before.”

Khloe Kardashian married Odom in September 2009, 30 days after meeting at a party thrown by Ron Artest, aka Metta World Peace. Although Khloe Kardashian’s family was taken by storm at the idea of her quicky wedding, it wasn’t long before they got on board, and since then, the Kardashians have been close to Odom.

As for their divorce, Khloe Kardashian had filed documents to end her marriage in December 2013, after months of rumors regarding Odom’s alleged drug use and multiple affairs. However, due to both parties dragging their feet on the split, as has been seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, their split wasn’t finalized until this past summer. Still, due to a judge not signing the documents to make it official, they remained married until calling off the divorce all together on Wednesday.

Khloe Kardashian has yet to respond to the $7,500 lawsuit against her.
