Liam Payne Sick Due To Stress And Pressures Of Fame [Rumors]

Liam Payne and the remaining boys of One Direction disappointed their U.K. fans when they canceled their concert in Belfast. The 1D crooner was so ill that he had to get hospitalized.

One Direction has since rescheduled the concert. It was disappointing for their fans since they had to cancel the first of three Belfast shows. It was the first concert that the boy band has cancelled in years. But now British tabloids are claiming that stress and the pressures of fame are the reasons why Liam Payne has fallen ill. Alleged sources close to One Direction told the Sun that Payne has fallen ill due to the ongoing touring with his band.

“The pressures of fame and being on the road for two years have made Liam ill. He was devastated about letting everyone down, especially the fans, but he wasn’t physically able to get on stage. He had a complete meltdown.”

The reason why the 22-year-old singer couldn’t perform on stage with his bandmates was because he was having panic attacks backstage, according to the alleged insider. The source said that Payne’s anxiety has been “brewing” for some time, and his uncertain future after the band’s hiatus hasn’t helped matters.

“Liam’s stress has been brewing for quite a while and it hasn’t helped that his future is uncertain with the break coming up. But the guys have rallied around Liam and are desperate to make sure he is OK.”

On Wednesday, Oct. 21., Liam Payne took to Twitter to apologize to his frazzled fans about his disappearance. In his series of tweets, Payne claims that he’s feeling much better despite his health scare, no matter what the British tabloids claim to say.

“I’m so sorry to everybody I disappointed last night. I’m feeling better now. I really hope everyone can make the rescheduled date on Friday. Thank you so much for all the trends and lovely messages you guys did for me it really shows how amazing u guys actually are. As I said I’m feeling much better now and I really can’t wait to perform and make it up to everyone.”

The Sun was the first to reveal back in August 2015 that Liam Payne, 22; Harry Styles, 21; Niall Horan, 22; and Louis Tomlinson, 23 will go on a break for a year after working together for five years.

It sounds like things are little tense for the guys of One Direction. Liam Payne revealed that things between him and Louis Tomlinson got tense during the songwriting session for the band’s upcoming release, Made In The A.M. Liam recalled the times that he and Louis would get into arguments when it came to production and lyrics on the songs. Both of them wanted to get more involved with the fourth album, and started writing and co-producing their hit songs like “Drag Me Down” and “Perfect.”

Fans went into overdrive earlier this year when Zayn Malik announced his departure from the band. He took to his social media accounts to say that he wanted to live his life like “a normal 22-year-old.” Several days later, Malik was seen at a recording studio with former music producer Naughty Boy. Then it was revealed that Malik was signed to RCA Records, in which he will release his solo album.

It’s unlikely that Liam Payne will be the next singer to leave the group. He seems very dedicated to One Direction, and it’s clear that he wants to work behind the scenes during their hiatus, as previous reports have hinted. Payne not only has been writing his own solo songs, but he also wants to work for other artists.
