NFL Expert Picks Week 7: ESPN Experts Pick Seahawks To Win Big In San Francisco

NFL expert picks for Week 7 are coming in from ESPN. One of the interesting Week 7 NFL picks has the ESPN experts picking the Seattle Seahawks to beat the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night, October 22. ESPN releases weekly predictions from experts with the network, but not all the picks from the coming week have been submitted yet. It’s likely that several of the analysts are waiting for more injury reports to come out.

The Seattle vs. San Francisco game is an important one, as both teams have 2-4 records so far this season. That puts the teams in a tie for third place in the NFC West and two games behind the first place Arizona Cardinals. This has become one of the most competitive grudge matches in the NFL, and the 49ers want to exact some revenge after losing at home to the Seahawks last season. That game came on Thanksgiving Day and saw Russell Wilson and Richard Sherman enjoying dinner on the 49ers logo during the post-game interviews.

Only Seth Wickersham (55-36) feels that the 49ers will win this game, making it nearly unanimous in favor of the Seahawks. Within the Week 7 expert NFL picks there are a few unanimous predictions though. They are the Atlanta Falcons beating the Tennessee Titans, the St. Louis Rams beating the Cleveland Browns, the Miami Dolphins beating the Houston Texans, and the Arizona Cardinals beating the Baltimore Ravens. The Arizona vs. Baltimore game is on Monday, October 26 at roughly 8:30 p.m. ET.

Two games have only one analyst favoring the underdog, and they are the Carolina Panthers over the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots over the New York Jets. Marcus Allen, who is 52-39 in his picks, is the lone analyst siding with the Eagles. In the Patriots vs. Jets game, it is Mike Golic (59-32) favoring the Jets to pull the upset. Allen is also the only analyst picking the New Orleans Saints to beat the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, October 25. All the others favor the Colts to win a very important game.

There is another game in London this week, and it is the Buffalo Bills vs. Jacksonville Jaguars at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday. The Bills find the favor of the ESPN analysts within these Week 7 NFL expert picks. Two analysts have sided with the Jaguars, though, and they are Chris Mortensen (60-31) and Adam Caplan (54-37). Mortensen had the highest marks for Week 6, going 12-2 in his projections. He now trails only Chris Carter (62-29) for the best mark among the ESPN analysts this season.

As for the rest of the Week 7 NFL expert picks, the ESPN analysts have selected the Washington Redskins to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Minnesota Vikings to beat the Detroit Lions, the Pittsburgh Steelers to beat the Kansas City Chiefs, the San Diego Chargers to beat the Oakland Raiders, and the New York Giants to beat the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants vs. Cowboys is very important for the NFC East standings, as the winning team could move into a tie for first place in the division by the end of the night.

The teams with Week 7 byes are the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Cincinnati Bengals, and Chicago Bears. Three of the teams will retain undefeated records for at least another week, keeping alive the possibility that there are still five undefeated teams in Week 8. That hasn’t happened in the history of the league, but could be very close to taking place. The Week 7 NFL expert picks from ESPN state that its going to happen, with wins by the Carolina Panthers (5-0) and New England Patriots (5-0) also expected. The current predictions would also have the Atlanta Falcons improving to 6-1.
