Zendaya Works Her Magic Once Again After Slamming Manipulated Magazine Photo, Not Happy With ‘Unrealistc Ideals Of Beauty’

Zendaya Coleman is all about style and keeping it real. What she doesn’t do is trying to be somebody that she isn’t, which is why she slammed Modeliste magazine after they posted a photo of her that they had been touched up. It certainly did not get a welcome approval from the young actress.

After she had seen the touched-up magazine photo of herself, Zendaya took to her Instagram to repost the altered snapshot alongside the original one. You can tell that they are quite different in the leg and hip area. She called them out on it and explained to her fans exactly how she felt about the whole thing.

“Had a new shoot come out today and was shocked when I found my 19 year old hips and torso quite manipulated. These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love. So I took it upon myself to release the real pic (right side) and I love it.”

Zendaya has always been straightforward and honest about how she feels about what others think. She also doesn’t take to bullying either, whether it is about herself, her family, or her fans. However, she also states her feelings with grace and elegance, which is why everyone loves her so much. The Disney Channel star has earned a lot of respect among her peers as well.

Modeliste has since taken the photoshopped picture down and also issued a statement on their Instagram explaining why they did and what they are going to do next, as reported by Today.

“We understand that re-touching of photos is a sensitive subject not only in the fashion industry but across all media. Upon reviewing edited images in comparison with the originals, Modeliste Editor-in-Chief, Amy McCabe jointly with Zendaya and her parents made the immediate decision to pull the issue and are working with Zendaya at her request to publish the complete un-edited and authentic images from our Cover shoot in Puerto Vallarta.”

They went on to say that they want to also convey a message similar to Zendaya’s to represent more natural beauty instead of a fake body image, as well as embracing a woman’s individuality. They realize how important it is to love yourself, which in turn creates empowerment of women. The magazine ensured everyone that they will be issuing a new set of unedited photos very soon. The power of Zendaya has struck again.

The “Replay” singer is on the cover of the November issue of Modeliste and she looks gorgeous in red. She dishes on her fashion styles, beauty secrets, and what her future may hold for her. The actress/singer has become the star that everyone is watching these days. Even though she is still starring in her own show on the Disney Channel, that doesn’t mean that she is just a kid anymore. There isn’t anything that this girl can’t do.

Zendaya rose to fame alongside another famous teen, Bella Thorne, as they starred together in their own Disney series, Shake It Up. Both of these girls have their own sense of style, and they each have a huge following of young fans. While Thorne strayed from the world of Disney, Zendaya chose to stick around for yet another hit show that she is now lead actress in.

She is a force to be reckoned with and will stand up for what she believes in. That has been evident in the past when comments were made about her hair by Giuliana Rancic and also when one of her Twitter followers had called her parents ugly. Her best defense is not to get mad, but to smack back at them with her usual graceful responses. Ms. Coleman is gorgeous both inside and out.
