‘The Vampire Diaries’ Spoilers: A Battle, Secrets, And More Teased

The Vampire Diaries will air an all-new episode on Thursday night, and fans will see the next round in the battle between Damon and his mother. He killed one of Lily’s new “children” on a recent episode, and she retaliated by kidnapping Elena’s body.

In order to get Elena back, Damon will threaten the lives of every member of her new family. In fact, the preview for the next episode shows him threatening the death of another heretic – Oscar. Lily wants him to stop wanting to kill her family, and Damon wants Elena back. This will not end well.

According to Christian Today, Damon, Bonnie, and Alaric will join forces in order to find a way to take Lily down, and the mysterious phoenix stone Alaric has been holding onto might be the item they need to do it. However, the stone is dangerous.

Damon does not think much about the mysterious stone, and Bonnie feels that the stone must be destroyed. She almost allowed Matt to die on the last episode because the stone caused her to pass out, after all.

In addition to Damon’s problems with his mother, Stefan will have some problems of his own. A sneak peek for the episode shared by Spoiler TV shows Stefan and Lily having a conversation. He asks her to tell her children to ease up on Caroline. His mother responds by telling him to call off Damon. Stefan informs her that Damon has left town and is no longer speaking to him. Lily backs off and promises to talk to her girls.

One of her girls is connected to Stefan’s past. That girl is Valerie, and Lily reveals to Stefan that she sent the girl to him. That is where the sneak peek for the episode ends.

The Vampire Diaries Season 7 has taken the series in a very different direction. The fans have questions about the future timeline on the series. It only shows up briefly at the end and start of each episode, and it causes more questions than it answers.

Who is hunting Damon and Stefan? Who is Caroline engaged to? With that question comes another – what happened to Stefan and Caroline’s relationship? Where are Bonnie and Alaric? Is Matt still alive in the future?

Those questions may be answered as the season progresses, but for now the fans are left wanting answers. With the drastic change in direction for the series, some fans wondered if this season could be the end of the series.

Julie Plec spoke about the endgame for the series in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, and she really is not looking to end The Vampire Diaries at the end of Season 7.

“I would love to keep telling stories in these worlds for as long as possible, as long the people who help me tell the stories want to do it. In that category are the actors who bring these characters to life, as the writers who have a point of view on how to tell the stories, as the studio and the network who have to write a check to do so. It’s a big group decision, frankly, and it’s fascinating; the behind-the-scenes of it all is so interesting. When you get to a show that has run this long, you get to a group of people who dig in to their desire to keep doing it — it’s wonderful. We shall see.”

For now, it is up to the fans and the cast how long the show stays on the air. As long as the fans keep tuning in and the cast stays interested in portraying their characters, the series can continue.

The Vampire Diaries will continue to air on Thursday nights on The CW.
