Health Update: Khloe Kardashian Splits From James Harden, Will Care For Lamar Odom & Call Off Divorce?

Following a recent health update, which claims Lamar Odom’s kidneys have continued to fail, a new report has revealed Odom’s estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, has broken up with boyfriend James Harden. On October 20, TMZ revealed Odom’s kidneys were failing in their latest health update, and said he could possibly need a transplant.

Sources close to Odom’s situation have reportedly informed TMZ that while the rest of his organs have bounced back, his “kidneys are shot.” When Odom was first found unconscious on October 13, TMZ offered a health update, which revealed the former professional athlete was suffering from lung failure, kidney failure, and heart failure. But luckily, Odom’s vital organs, with the exception of his kidneys, have recovered.

TMZ‘s health update continued to reveal that Odom was currently receiving treatment at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A., where he was expected to undergo 6 hours of dialysis each day, with the end result possibly being a kidney transplant.

Regarding Odom’s recent transfer from Las Vegas’ Sunrise Hospital to Los Angeles, TMZ explained that the reasoning behind the move was Los Angeles’ specialized care.

“His condition has improved, but the move is not a signal he’s out of the woods. We’re told doctors at Cedars will be performing brain tests, which will help determine the extent of damage the strokes had on Lamar,” TMZ‘s health update explained.

In addition to their health update, TMZ also revealed a relationship update on October 20, claiming Kardashian and Harden have recently split.

“Khloe Kardashian has put the brakes on her relationship with James Harden, in the wake of Lamar Odom’s medical crisis,” sources told the site. “Khloe is putting her relationship with the NBA star on ice, and as one source puts it, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see she still has deep feelings for Lamar.”

Kardashian and Odom tied the knot in September, 2009, and called it quits in 2013 after rumors of drug use and infidelity. However, Kardashian continued to hold onto hope for years after their split, and didn’t sign divorce papers until just a couple of months ago. Still, due to a judge having yet to sign off on the couple’s divorce, Kardashian and Odom are technically married, and likely will be for the next two to four months.

TMZ‘s health update followed news of Kardashian’s decision to remain at Odom’s side throughout the coming months of his recovery. In fact, according to a separate health update, via Hollywood Life, Kardashian is so dedicated to seeing her estranged husband recover that she’s actually installing a rehab facility in her Los Angeles home.

“While Lamar is doing great and showing all the possible signs of improvement, Khloe knows the hard work is ahead. Doctors have told her that Lamar’s going to need an extensive about of rehabilitation and she’s preparing for that by turning her home into a rehab center.”

On October 19, one day before TMZ‘s latest health update spoke of Odom’s possible need for a kidney transplant, Hollywood Life revealed details about Kardashian’s breakup from Harden, whom she began dating over the summer.

“Khloe and James have had very little voice communication this past week. Her entire focus has been on Lamar. Khloe simply can’t focus on James right now and to his credit he understands why. Not to be rude, he’s the furthest thing from her mind. Khloe’s put the relationship on the back burner for the moment. Right now she needs to be there for Lamar.”
