Simon Barney seems to have made his feelings clear about what his ex-wife, Tamra Judge, said on The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion show about their family drama. After Part 1 of the reunion aired on Monday night, Simon posted a lengthy message about narcissists.
The passage, taken from a blog about narcissistic abuse, describes how narcissists operate. It states that narcissists’ weapons of choice include verbal actions such as slander, lies, and playing the victim.

It doesn’t seem to be a coincidence that Simon posted a message about narcissistic abuse right after Part 1 of the reunion show showed Tamra talking about her separation from their older daughter, Sidney, after the divorce. When someone asked Simon whether he can believe that he was actually married to a narcissist and told him that he dodged a bullet when it comes to Tamra, a narcissist, Simon responded by posting a picture of a man dodging a bullet. Since Tamra’s Twitter handle was included in the tweet, she would have received Simon’s picture.

Simon also posted the message about narcissists to his Facebook page. In response to someone who told Simon that he can from write from experience about narcissists since he was married to Tamra, Simon replied, “Wasn’t the person I married.” Perhaps Simon, who was recently embroiled in a lengthy child custody battle with Tamra, meant that Tamra has changed since being on Real Housewives?
On Part 1 of the Season 10 reunion show, Tamra Judge revealed that her older daughter with Simon Barney, Sidney, told her one day two years ago, out of the blue, that she doesn’t want anything to do with her. Tamra said that she hasn’t seen Sidney since. Tamra cried as she talked about how much she misses Sidney, who now lives with Simon full-time, and just can’t understand why Sidney doesn’t want to see her. Tamra expressed sadness that her children have been pulled apart.
“She said, ‘I don’t want to live with you anymore. You’ve ruined my dad’s life’… I had no idea and for her to come and say these things to me I was just like, ‘Where is this coming from?’ I had no idea where it was coming from. And she basically left that day and two years later have not come back… I kept trying to reach out to her… It was all over the press that Simon was trying to take the kids away from me and she never talked to me again. I fought so hard to get her help… He wouldn’t do it, he wouldn’t allow it… He fought me not to get her help. And he won… My son, Spencer, he won’t speak to his dad now and he lives with me full-time, so the whole family is just, they’re so separated.”
After the episode aired, Tamra posted a direct plea to her daughter for her to come back. She accompanied her message with a photo of a woman crying and the question of whether people have ever missed someone so much that they burst into tears just at the thought of them.
“It’s so unbelievably hard. 💔 I still don’t know if sharing it was the right thing to do, I’ve been in tears all day. I just want my Daughter back. Please God please bring her back to me. 🙏 I love you So much Sidney. ( for the rude people, I did not lose custody of my daughter in court. So please stop with the rumors).”

When Tamra was introduced as a new cast member on Season 3, she was married to Simon, and the two were raising their three children together. During Seasons 3 through 5, Simon and Tamra were frequently shown bickering and arguing with one another. One bone of contention was Ryan Vieth, Tamra’s son from her previous marriage. Tamra wanted to help Ryan, who was struggling then, but Simon felt as if she was enabling Ryan and that Ryan needed more tough love. Simon and Tamra also frequently argued over her behavior and outfits while filming the show, with Simon wanting Tamra to behave and dress more like a married woman and Tamra feeling as if she should be able to do and wear what she wants.
On the Season 5 finale, Tamra announced to Simon, while filming with him in a limo on the way to a party, that she wanted a divorce. While getting ready for the party, the two had argued over the dress that Tamra wanted to wear. In the limo, Simon told Tamra that Vicki Gunvalson was a bad influence on her and that she was starting to talk to him like how Vicki talks to her then-husband, Donn Gunvalson. During the break between Season 5 and Season 6, Simon, after 11 years of marriage, filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized during the filming of the seventh season.
Simon Barney has made clear that he doesn’t think that Tamra Judge’s behavior on the Real Housewives of Orange County is good for their children. As reported by E! News in September, after Tamra and Eddie Judge’s sex party to promote their gym was aired on Season 10, Simon posted a lengthy statement stating that Tamra’s behavior negatively affects Sidney.
“I heard in last night’s [Real Housewives] show they replayed her R-rated bathtub scene with her then-boyfriend, Eddie, and showed her hosting a sex party with dildos and anal beads. How is this teaching our children ethics and morality? It may be great for the viewers to watch this outrageous sexualized behavior by my ex-wife, however my children have to live with the repercussions and embarrassment of this behavior. Not only does my daughter have to read and hear about what her mother says about her father on the Internet and various talk shows, she is forced to relive it over and over from her ‘friends and classmates’—the not so classy moments her mother is so famous for on the show.”
