Kendall Jenner has just posted a new shot of her celebrated booty, but it’s not just for laughs. The stunner (though she appears to be laughing in the shot – her head is lowered and the set of her shoulders suggests that she is laughing or at least tittering) means business.
The shot is a still from a promo Kendall recently shot for the Balmain fashion house, who will be launching their collaboration with chain brand H&M today, according to a report by the Daily Mail.
Balmain sure know how to frame an eye-catching shot and appear eager to capitalize on the striking assets of their most celebrated model, who obliges the cameraman with a laugh and an embarrassed, I-can’t-believe-I’m-doing-this drop of her head, while her super-short Balmain x H&M dress sneaks ever higher. Kendall’s shapely, stockings-clad buttocks catch the light of a nearby candle — as does the shiny sole of her black thigh-high boot — and the purple chair on which she has collapsed is flecked with pink highlights by the same tiny flame.
This image appeared today on Kendall’s feed and earlier on the Instagram feed of the fashion house. Balmain (whose collaboration with H&M represents a bold move into the mass market/ “chain” fashion space for the couture house) appears to understand the popular appeal of a Kardashian/Jenner booty shot, and with the Kim Kardashian Paper Magazine shoot still fresh in everybody’s memory, has done a good job getting this flirty display out of Kendall, the classiest, most reserved and yet (many would say) most beautiful of the sisters.
Remember that not even charmer-of-the-century Harry Styles was able to get a rise out of this demure lady, according to Hollywood Life, who often appears more comfortable and more touchy-feely in the presence of fellow models, her sisters and other women than with guys she dates, reports the Daily Mail.
In fact, the adorable, sexy 19-year-old made headlines recently when it was revealed that she had turned to dating guru Steve Harvey (a report by Now magazine claims he is a “friend of the Kardashian family”), author of Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man, for advice about men. His book is apparently “never far from her side.”
[Steve] could see Kendall was getting a lot of male attention and wasn’t sure how to deal with it. He gave her some advice and told her to read the book and she’s hooked. She’s been telling friends it’s changed the way she thinks about guys.
Such is Balmain’s love of putting Kendall in revealing outfits that #BalmainBooty has even started trending on Instagram and Twitter. A click on this hashtag brings up an incredible grid of images of Kendall, with acres of her flesh on display.
This shot, taken alongside fellow Balmain model Gigi Hadid (wearing, as reported by the Mirror, a Balmain dress with ornate green detailing and a pale slip that gave the illusion that she was practically naked), shows the two getting up close and personal. This shot shows Gigi third-wheeling as Kendall cozies up to a third model — this time a Balmain blonde.
Kendall also appeared in this behind-the-scenes look at the H&M x Balmain campaign shoot. The live launch event can be viewed on 20th October on @hm Twitter and Periscope at 7:30 p.m. EST.
Designer Oliver Rousteing praised not only Kendall’s beauty but her spirit, saying, “The campaign has to reflect the Balmain Army and for me, she is the most important. She is an icon. I’m inspired by her. For me she is the new Naomi, Claudia, Cindy. You know the type of models where people want to be her. Finally we go back to top models and are making dream girls. She also has an amazing soul and is so supportive.”
The Sydney Morning Herald had positive words to say about the Balmain line for H&M.
“A large amount of hype surrounded the collaboration between H&M and the high-fashion house, mainly because of how much the wallet-friendly designs look like the real thing.”
