Watch Justin Bieber Maturely Muse On Nude Photos, Defend Dad’s Tweet [Video]

Justin Bieber is giving his take on the horrific violation he experienced two weeks ago, when a paparazzo took nude photos of him in Bora Bora without the young superstar’s consent or knowledge.

Following Friday’s preview, Access Hollywood have shared the full segment on the pics with the Biebs and host Billy Bush’s sit-down. The singer opens up about first finding out about the snaps and defends his father after the social media lather over his dad’s tweet on the topic.

Bush kicked things off asking Justin why he didn’t think paparazzi would be in Bora Bora.

To which, the Canadian replied, “Nah, man! I was in the middle of nowhere, and all and out there was just blue water. So I’m thinking, like, I’m not thinking they’re going to be in boats coming out.”

The “What Do You Mean” singer also revealed his manager, Scooter Braun, broke the grim news to him that censored nude pics of him had been published by the New York Daily News. Uncensored shots from an unknown source made their way to Twitter shortly after.

Asked about his first reaction to the shots, Justin dished, “My first thing was like, first of all, how can they do this? I feel super violated, like I can’t step outside and feel like I can go outside naked?” the 21-year-old recalled incredulously. “You should feel comfortable in your own space when you’re, especially that far away. I didn’t think they would come all the way out there.”

After Bush said his first thought would have been to worry about his privates looked like, Justin went on to say, “I think when I first saw the pictures, there was a black mark over…”

Bush interjected that the singer saw censored shots before Justin continued, saying, “Immediately, I’m like ‘Oh my god, did I come out of the water? Am I shrinking? Do I have shrinkage?‘ Like, that’s my first thought!”

Amid laughter from Billy and others off-camera in Access’ studio, the singer quipped, “But, anyways, that was shrinkage for me, anyway, so.”

Hilarity ensued when Bush said he hadn’t seen the nude photos, which prompted Justin to jump up and pretend to undo his trousers.

While there’s no doubt Bieber was put through a triply nasty experience of having non-consensual, nude pics of him taken by a paparazzo, knowing millions would see the viral shots, and even being accused of staging the incident by opinionators on TV, radio shows, and some online users, the singer says the one person who helped lighten the invasiveness of it all was his father — Jeremy.

Two days after Bieber’s unwilling naked reveal sucked all the oxygen out of the internet, Jeremy tweeted “@justinbieber What do you feed that thing #proud daddy” with a blushing emoji.

Many thought the tweet was inappropriate because of the family connection, although we suspect a lot of the bashing was due to Jeremy’s poor public image. Disappointingly, most media outlets and some of the blogosphere spent more time kvetching about Bieber’s dad than the New York Daily News’ outrageous original publication of the censored photos and the pond-life paparazzo who took them.

For his part, the Biebs defended his dad on Access and later on the Zach Sang & Gang radio show, where he said he felt the nude photos were “a little bit of an invasion of privacy” and revealed that when he first found out about them “my heart sank.”

Back on Access, Justin said, “My dad kind of made it funny,” referring to Jeremy’s Tweet, which has since been deleted. “He sent out a tweet saying, ‘What do you feed that thing?'” He added, “Oh my God! People kind of thought of it as being, like, ‘How could he say that?'”

“It’s my dad. Like, of course he’s proud.” Justin continued, “Like, it’s a funny thing. It’s not like he’s talking about an 11-year-old. I’m 21 years old.”

At the end the interview, Bush told Justin the brouhaha wasn’t the “end of the world.”

Musing sagely, the singer said, “I mean, honestly, if I could go back and not go outside naked, I probably would’ve. Is it the end of the world? No. But there’s certain things that I did want to keep to myself and for myself.”

He insisted, “I was never gonna come out with a naked photo. It’s not like I’m in the mirror, like, [he then gestured an image of that] ‘This is about to make the headlines.'”

Oh, and for those who may find this next detail important, Bieber was on his way to the hot tub.
