Demi Lovato Talks Nude Photo Shoot, Signs With Wilhemina Models

Demi Lovato has been proving to the world that she's more than just a former Disney star. She shows off a hot new look and a much mature sound on her latest release, Confident. Demi also proved that she feels confident with her nude and make-up free photo shoot for Vanity Fair.

The singer and actress is living up to her new album's name. Demi Lovato bared everything when she did a completely nude and unretouched photo shoot in the latest issue of Vanity Fair. The soul-baring shoot was taken by for photographer Patrick Ecclesine the day after her great-grandmother passed away. Lovato explained to E! News host Maria Menounos that her new album was the reason why she decided to bare it all in the photo shoot. Not only was it a spontaneous decision, but it's something that felt empowering for her.

"There was never a time in my career where I was completely stripped down, not just makeup and not just of clothes, but no Photoshop either. We live in a world where everything is touched up, even pictures that people post on Instagram now. So I wanted to put it out there, the opposite of what people are kind of expecting from me right now."
Demi Lovato also said that she wanted to use this photoshoot to help inspire her own fans, especially other women. The "Cool For the Summer" singer has battled both an addiction and eating disorder. Demi did a complete 360 not only with her healthy lifestyle, but her newfound body confidence.
"And I want to inspire other women. For someone who's had body image issues since they were a child, I went from hating every inch of my body to showing every inch of my body to the entire world and without touching up anything. I wouldn't have done that six months ago, because I didn't have the confidence that I do today."
Lovato seemed amused when one of her fans wanted her to autograph a copy of her nude photo. She was seen leaving the Saturday Night Live after party in New York City and was in good spirits when a fan handed her one of the nude photos that was in Vanity Fair, but she politely declined to sign it.

In light of her nude photo shoot, she has decided to become a model. The 23-year-old has just signed her first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models, according to another report via E! News. The modeling agency even represents other celebrities like Ruby Rose, Nick Jonas, and Iggy Azalea.

Demi Lovato released a statement, expressing her excitement over her new career move.

"I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina. I'm very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist."
Believe it or not, Demi has a lot of experience modeling for the camera. After all, she was a Disney kid back in her day! Demi has also posed for brands like Sketchers, her Secret Color hair extension line, her skincare line called Devonne by Demi, and her nail polish line called The New Black. But Wilhelmina revealed that Demi will be featured in much more prestigious and high-end fashion and beauty ad campaigns. They also hinted about featuring her in more "editorial opportunities," which means that we'll be seeing more of the singer in upcoming photo shoots.
