Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Have Awkward Run-In At Hollywood Hotspot

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, John Mayer said that he was humiliated by Taylor Swift’s song “Dear John,” which was written about their relationship and consequential breakup. The song was released in 2010 but it doesn’t look like Mayer and Swift will be patching things up anytime soon, as the ex-couple had an awkward run-in at a Hollywood hot spot earlier this week.

According to Page Six, Swift was surprised to see her ex at the Tower Bar at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Tuesday night. The country singer was about to take her seat but noticed that Mayer was sitting at a nearby table.

According to the paper,

“Taylor very visibly — in front of the entire restaurant — demanded to be moved to the other side… The bar’s usually an oasis of calm and privacy for celebrities and power players, but this was drama central.”

Earlier this week, Mayer said that he was humiliated by Swift’s song “Dear John.” Mayer said:

“It made me feel terrible… Because I didn’t deserve it. I’m pretty good at taking accountability now, and I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do.”

According to Pop Crush, the magazine article probably won’t do anything to help patch up their relationship. A source close to Swift said:

“John was a player and treated her like s—…. He looked at her as a conquest. Taylor is going to think even less of him now!”
