Adele fans should be pleased to know that the singer, who’s teased possible new music for months now, is actually making good on her word. A new song of Adele’s was teased during the X Factor UK’s commercial break. This is the first time we’ve heard what the “new” Adele sounds like, and if we can go by a 30 second clip, it sounds like Adele never really left.
According to US Weekly, and the millions of fans on Twitter that are currently losing it, Adele’s new song was debuted in between commercials for Dominos and Tic Tacs. Then the screen went completely black, and the Grammy award winning artist’s voice was heard to the shock of many.
The lyrics of the song appeared on the black screen, as Adele’s soulful voice sang along to the words. From what we can hear, it’s a pretty bare song, which features a piano, so it’s not a huge departure for the songstress.

The lyrics are: “Hello / it’s me,” words flashed on the screen along with Adele’s voice. “I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet / to go over everything / They say that time’s supposed to heal you / But I ain’t done much healing.”
Since the commercial aired, fans have been flipping out over the new Adele song.

ADELE IS BACK AND RELEASING A NEW SONG WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE OMG
— kait 🙂 (@KaitlinParente) October 18, 2015
As The Inquisitr reported, we’ve had little hints that Adele’s upcoming album, 25, was in the works. She had major success with her Grammy award-winning album, 21, but after that she took some time off to tend to her son. Then, out of nowhere, we heard buzz that Adele was working hard on her new album. And then, to no one’s surprise, there was no new news.
For months, fans were simply resigned to the fact that it was just a rumor, but Adele’s name emerged again when a song she wrote, called “Alive,” was sung by Sia. The “victim to victory” theme of the song had Adele written all over it, so even though we hadn’t heard anything about the new album, it was safe to say that she was cultivating her sound.
Around that same time there was news that Adele had a release date of her album. Hits magazine reported that Adele’s album is going to hit stories and digital platforms on November 20. In the age where Beyonce can release a surprise album and have one of the highest-selling albums, we can see Adele going this way as well. If you’re a big name like Beyonce, or in this case Adele, the marketing behind the album isn’t important as it used to be.
Because no matter what built in fan bases will make the music trend on sites like Twitter and Facebook. If anything, Adele just proved that all it takes is a 30-second clip of her singing a new song to get people talking again.
Hopefully this is a sign that her new album is indeed hitting stores in November.
