They say that some celebrities bring their Midas touch to everything — and it appears that Niall Horan is guilty.
Of course, Niall Horan actually does have the Midas touch in some ways because everything he sings about turns into gold. For example, the Irish Examiner reports on October 16 that One Direction’s management company released information stating that Niall Horan took home about $65 million in 2014.
In addition to being officially declared as rich, Niall Horan is cited as bringing success to any projects that he is involved with — even if it is as simple as a tweet.
However, in Niall Horan’s real life, the story is about how he has avoided his homeland of Ireland for nearly 10 months — but now he’s back.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Niall Horan was deeply involved in naming his firstborn child after a successful soccer/football player during the Euro Cup when it was noted in the media that Niall Horan had spent a surprisingly long time away from home.
But does Niall Horan miss Ireland as much as Ireland misses him? The Irish Mirror was happy to report that Niall Horan was coming home to Dublin and on October 16 they detailed all of Niall’s favorite Irish places that were welcoming him.
For instance, they highlighted the The Greville Arms Hotel’s manager John Cochrane who stated the following.
“[We] opened up a visitors’ book for the many Directioners who flock to the place in an effort to be close to their idol. They leave messages for him from all over the world and the book is presented to him whenever he comes home.”
They also state in the Irish Mirror that Niall Horan’s father still works at the counter of a local Tesco retail store, and that Niall Horan is a simple fellow that likes simple things — just like his father.
Proving that he is a homebody, when interviewed by Corriere, Niall Horan talked about how he wanted to do Christmas shopping or play sports when One Direction quit touring. M Magazine points out that this was in response to the rest of One Direction saying they would throw a massive party.
In fact, when talking about going home to Ireland — Niall Horan starts dropping sports references. UTV reports on October 17 that when Niall Horan was interviewed on FM104 Radio, he stated that he would not be allowed into his favorite bar in Ireland because he forgot the sports jersey that would grant him admission.
Naturally, it might be a good thing for the sports industry at large that Niall Horan exalts them above all else. According to a report on October 16 by the Standard, Niall Horan brings his Midas touch to sporting events by tweeting about them. About Niall Horan’s influence on sports, they state the following.
“Niall Horan’s good luck message to the Ireland team has taken the crown for the most-retweeted musing thus far with over 30,000 and counting … [Niall Horan’s] tweet about Brazil’s exit from last summer’s football World Cup also caused a splash amongst his followers and was one of the most popular tweets in relation to the tournament.”
In addition, Niall Horan is boosting up his buddies 5SOS by not eschewing a possible collaboration offer from them during his 1D break. SugarScape first reported on October 12 that Luke Hemmings gladly welcomed any collaborations that Niall Horan was offering and is waiting for Niall’s green light.
In the end, Niall Horan may need to do something to occupy his time when One Direction takes a break — because things with his friend Justin Bieber may not be working out.
Despite the fact that Niall Horan and Justin Bieber spent a lot of time together when Niall was touring with One Direction in America, there appears to be some shade — according to fans.
Regardless, insiders at Hollywood Life state that Niall Horan and Justin Bieber have a behind-the-scenes friendly bet going on and state the following.
“Niall and Justin are betting on whose album will have a more successful release… Their bet includes something fun, kind of like a dare that the loser will have to do.”
