What Are Kim Kardashian’s Pregnancy Complications That Made Her Leave Khloe?

The whole Kardashian clan was at the side of Lamar Odom after his recent overdose that has left him comatose in a Las Vegas hospital. But a medical appointment required seven-month pregnant Kim Kardashian to leave Khloe Kardashian at Lamar Odom’s side to rush back to Los Angeles because a doctor was traveling to meet her. This obviously is not a routine appointment, so what are the complications that are putting Kim Kardashian at risk, and should she be flying this late in a pregnancy?

According to In Touch Magazine, the entire family is concerned that the stress of the Lamar situation could put Kim and her baby at risk.

“The expectant mom and Kanye are reportedly preparing for a high-risk delivery after the reality star was previously diagnosed with preeclampsia — a condition where women’s blood pressure spikes during pregnancy — while pregnant with two-year-old daughter, North West. Therefore, the added stress of Lamar’s hospitalization has the rapper extremely nervous.”

Kardashian is supposed to be limiting her stress and laying low, which does not include travel, and the details of Lamar Odom’s medical situation and the clamoring press are not helping Kim keep calm. Sources say that Kanye West would prefer if Kim would stay home and allow the rest of the family to be at Odom’s side.

“He’s very worried about Kim’s health,” a source told Hollywood Life, adding, “She’s not supposed to be under any kind of stress right now and this is about as stressful as it gets.”

Kardashian is due around Christmas, but her current condition could cause an earlier delivery.

People Magazine reported that even Kim Kardashian is concerned about her medical status. Kardashian has preeclampsia and is also currently at risk of gestational diabetes.

“They saw more fluid than normal in my placenta, which could mean I have diabetes,” Kardashian West tells her sister Kourtney Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner, who looks shocked.

The couple is prepared for a high-risk delivery, as she is now a high-risk pregnancy.

Fit Pregnancy spoke to Kardashian about her current pregnancy complications. Kardashian claims that the placenta is growing on top of her uterus, which could cause her to need her uterus removed in emergency surgery after delivery and could also cause her to deliver her baby early.

“The problem, she said, is her ‘placenta grew onto [her] uterus’ and the ‘worst-case scenario’ means she could have to be rushed into the emergency room straight after giving birth to have her uterus removed.”

Fit Pregnancy believes the condition that Kardashian is describing is placenta accreta, which is when the placenta attaches itself too deeply in the uterus. The condition is rare, but when diagnosed pre-delivery, chances of a successful delivery are far more likely.

“If diagnosed before she gives birth, the mom-to-be usually undergoes a c-section combined with a special delivery procedure that spares the uterus. In rare cases, if it’s severe enough (and let’s hope Kim’s isn’t) she may need a hysterectomy.”

These are the reasons that Kim Kardashian needed to rush home to see the specialist, who reportedly is one of the top docs regarding placenta problems. It is likely that Kardashian will no longer be flying to Las Vegas, even though it is just a 45-minute flight.

Meanwhile, Lamar Odom is still in a coma with Khloe Kardashian by his side.
