Is Lamar Odom dead? Since the former NBA star was found unconscious on Tuesday afternoon, October 13, rumors have continuously swirled online claiming he may be dead. First, it was JR Smith and Lil Wayne who shared posts on social media, telling Lamar Odom to rest in peace. Then, a number of other social media users followed suit. However, according to Lamar Odom’s former teammates’s wife, Vanessa Bryant, Lamar Odom is very much alive.

According to a TMZ report on October 14, Kobe Bryant’s wife recently shut down the online death rumors, which have also been shared by celebrities, including Stephen Jackson, Al Harrington, and John Wall. Below is the message she shared with fans on Instagram on Wednesday as her husband, Kobe, was in Las Vegas at Odom’s bedside.

“Prayers going out to [Lamar Odom] and his family. Praying he gets through this. #LakerFam At the end of the day, he has a family and loved ones that care for him. People shouldn’t be posting/reposting that he is deceased when it isn’t true. Just imagine what his loved ones must feel like to receive such terrible news.”

Lamar Odom was found unconscious on October 13 at Dennis Hof’s Love Ranch in Las Vegas, where he had reportedly been partying with a group of women since Saturday. TMZ was first to report news of the discovery of Lamar Odom, claiming two women on site called 911 after finding him with mucus running out of his nose and mouth in his VIP suite. Once an ambulance arrived, Lamar Odom was transported to a nearby hospital, and on the way, they were able to stabilize him. At the hospital, Lamar Odom was intubated before being transported to a second hospital.

Once he was taken to the second hospital, Lamar Odom’s ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, and her mother, Kris Jenner, traveled to the Sunrise Hospital to be at his bedside as he remained in a coma. At 9:30 p.m., TMZ updated their report, confirming Lamar Odom was still alive, but noting that he was being assisted with his breathing. Then, at 11 p.m., TMZ updated their report again, revealing Lamar Odom was still in a coma with many of his organs failing.

As Lamar Odom death rumors continue to swirl online, a new report has revealed details of what he was reportedly taking while spending time at the ranch. On October 14, TMZ claimed sources at the Love Ranch revealed Lamar Odom had taken 10 Reload pills over the course of three days before he was discovered unconscious on Tuesday.

According to the report, the FDA claims Reload pills are “so dangerous they’ve advised consumers to throw them away IMMEDIATELY.”

“The FDA determined Reload contained sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra. The label does not reveal the presence of that ingredient, which is normally restricted to prescriptions monitored by a doctor. The FDA says sildenafil can ‘lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.'”

In 2013, the FDA released a warning to consumers, which read, “Consumers should stop using this product immediately and throw it away.”

TMZ’s report claimed the Love Ranch sold Reload pills to Lamar Odom when he arrived at their facility.

During the investigation into the events that led up to Lamar Odom’s health crisis, the report claimed the sheriff seized the site’s remaining inventory of the pills from the display case they were being kept in.

Lamar Odom remains hospitalized with his family, including his children, and the Kardashians at his side.
