Wiz Khalifa, Amber Rose Reach A New Level After Slut Walk?

Wiz Khalifa is flying high, with two recent nominations for the American Music Awards. The Post Gazette reported on October 13 that “Wiz Khalifa’s chart-topping duet with Charlie Puth, ‘See You Again,’ is nominated for Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year at the American Music Awards.”

Regardless, Wiz Khalifa’s personal life with Amber Rose is also a hot topic — and their relationship could be at its most solid point since their breakup because of her Slut Walk speech.

This is great news considering any flirtations that Wiz Khalifa had aren’t panning out. For instance, Urban Islandz reports on October 5 that Rita Ora is probably not thinking about dating Wiz Khalifa.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Wiz Khalifa has a history of being supportive of slut-shamed women like Rita Ora and Amber Rose — and his mother may have been a positive influence. However, Amber Rose feels that her relationship with Wiz Khalifa did not always give her the support she needed on the slut-shaming front.

Amber Rose’s history with the slut-shaming theme has been ongoing, but she started speaking up during the summer. For instance, Amber Rose was in a slut shaming-related video called “Walk of No Shame” posted on Funny or Die around September 15, according to US Magazine.

On October 3, Amber Rose broke down in tears during a Slut Walk event in Los Angeles according to the Daily Mail. At that time, Amber Rose declared to the world that she forgave Wiz Khalifa for the slut shaming she received from social media when the pair broke up. About being slut-shamed because she is Wiz Khalifa’s ex, Amber Rose stated the following.

“I deal with it every day. I deal with it via social media. People out on the street. They don’t quite understand why I post what I post and how I speak on social media.”

Adding to this, People reported on October 4 that, during the Slut Walk, Amber Rose carried a “Strippers Have Feelings Too” sign.

On October 5, New York Magazine declared that, because of her words at the Slut Walk, Amber Rose was the “Populist Slut Hero of Our Time.” They go on to explain that Amber Rose became a Slut Walk activist not because of Wiz Khalifa — but because of her ex, Kanye West.

Kanye slut-shamed Amber Rose in early 2015 when he said, “It’s very hard for a woman to want to be with someone that’s with Amber Rose … I had to take 30 showers before I got with Kim [Kardashian].”

After her Slut Walk emotional release on October 3, Amber Rose did show that things were good with her and Wiz Khalifa. On Instagram, Amber Rose posted a photo with her and Wiz Khalifa looking calm and collected within a day of the Slut Walk event with a caption that said “still ballin’.”

On October 8, the Latin Post and others stated that Wiz Khalifa vowed to not hurt Amber Rose. Hollywood Life also adds to this stating insiders told them around October 8 that they are working on their relationship for the “sake of their son.”

Of course, Amber Rose might need a little extra support in her life, because things are not going so well for her career compared to Wiz Khalifa’s. According to UPI, Amber Rose’s reality TV show with Blac Chyna has been cancelled.

Reports about the reasons behind the collapse of Amber Rose’s reality TV show are conflicting. For instance, Philly stated on October 13 that Amber Rose and Blac Chyna,”were nailing down the final contracts for the upcoming [MTV] show in late August. However, the website is now reporting the show has been cancelled, though the reason why is unclear.”

They go on to say that Amber Rose and Blac Chyna are “too busy with other business obligations,” according to TMZ. There are also allegations from insiders that “Blac Chyna and Amber Rose are no longer friends.”
