WWE Rumors: Huge Update On ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Possibly Being Pulled ‘Raw’ Next Week — Austin Says He Won’t Be There

There is really a lot of confusion as to whether or not “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will be appearing on next week’s Monday Night Raw, and today’s updates made it no clearer. Ever since Austin was left out of next week’s Raw preview on Monday, “The Rattlesnake” has since confirmed that he won’t be appearing on next week’s show. Seems clear enough, but WWE came out and said on Wednesday that Austin would be there.

On this past Monday Night Raw, WWE made no mention of Austin appearing on next week’s show. The “Stone Cold Podcast” with Brock Lesnar was mentioned, but nothing about him being on the wrestling show itself.

Things got even odder after WWE tweeted out a picture later that night which showed Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, and Ric Flair appearing next week. No sign of Austin in the picture for the big go-home show to Hell In A Cell.

WrestleZone pointed out on Tuesday that Austin was asked by a fan on Twitter if he would be on Raw in Dallas next week. Austin responded and once again said that shoddy reporting is to blame for the questions in the air.

Seems quite clear and straightforward, but the story isn’t done. On Wednesday, despite Austin’s confirmed “no” on Twitter, WWE.com released a preview for next week’s Monday Night Raw. Not only does it state that Austin will be one of the legends appearing, but it also includes him in the preview picture.

The preview doesn’t say a whole lot about what will go down next week, but only really focuses on Brock Lesnar’s “Go To Hell Tour” and who will be there.

“Next week’s Raw, scheduled to emanate live from Dallas — the home city of WrestleMania 32 — will feature a live appearance by Lesnar, WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Ric Flair, as well as Lesnar’s Hell in a Cell opponent, The Undertaker.”

From there, the preview touches on the “Stone Cold Podcast” which will air live on the WWE Network after Monday Night Raw is over. Brock Lesnar will be “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s guest, and it will be the final stop for Lesnar before Hell In A Cell.

It’s also when a rumored “major angle” of some kind is going to take place between Lesnar and Austin that will set up something in the future. Austin constantly denies that there will be a match between him and Lesnar at any time in any place.

WWE is really hard-selling Monday Night Raw next week in Dallas and hoping it will keep going into next year for WrestleMania 32. They want to have the biggest event and the biggest crowd, and just want it to be something that will blow everyone away.

Having Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker on Raw is already going to be a huge deal and one that should bring ratings up. Having legends such as Ric Flair and home-state boy Shawn Michaels on there will help even more.

Goodness knows that WWE has needed a boost in ratings from what the last few weeks have shown.

Now, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin maybe showing up on Monday Night Raw would easily bring up ratings, too. Having people still wonder if he’s going to be there or not could help give ratings a boost even more as it brings the element of surprise and that “anything can happen.” For now, we wait until Monday and see.
