‘In Touch’ Confronts Meri Brown’s Catfisher, Jackie Overton, In Oklahoma

Fans of Sister Wives were shocked when they heard that Meri Brown had been catfished by a woman named Jackie Overton. The woman pretended to be a man named Sam and tried to win over Meri, actually pulling it off. In Touch Weekly actually went to this catfish’s home and confronted her. They found Jackie outside her home in Shidler, Oklahoma. They even took pictures of Jackie walking along while wearing shorts and a t-shirt. It doesn’t sound like she was hard to find, either.

When confronted, Meri Brown’s catfish tried to say that she was someone else. Jackie said “My name is Ka, Case … Kelsey Williams.” Well, this is not her name at all, because Kelsey Williams is a cheerleader for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Meri Brown’s catfish didn’t want to admit who she was at all. In Touch showed her a picture of herself from Facebook and Meri’s catfish just basically said that it looked her, but wasn’t her. Even her glasses and moles match, but Jackie wouldn’t admit who she was at all.

There has been a phone number that is supposed to belong to Sam, but now after Meri’s catfish was confronted, the number has been disconnected. The website that was supposed to be for Sam’s business has been removed now. Meri Brown’s catfish even said that she doesn’t live in Shidler, but she is just there watching the house. Obviously, she didn’t want to talk about what is going on, and Jackie tried to say this was the first she has ever heard of any of this, which obviously is not true.

People shared that Meri Brown is now revealing a bit more about what happened and admits to being tricked. Meri thought she was talking to a Chicago businessman the entire time, but that was not the case. She spoke out about it all.

“I became fearful of the online relationship as I became aware of the deception. I didn’t know how to get out of the situation without putting myself, family, and friends at greater risk. It was a very difficult time. I had a lot of anxiety. My family was very concerned for our safety and angry that we had been targeted. They were relieved once I told them what was really going on and saddened that I had been so afraid of involving them that I didn’t go to them sooner.”

Meri Brown is sharing that her entire family is standing by her side and sticking with her. The Brown family has been through a lot, and Meri doesn’t seem to think that this will end up breaking them. Even though Meri was tricked, it is very obvious that she felt like she was talking to a man and was doing things that should not be done when in a marriage. Meri Brown did divorce Kody, but that was only on paper, and the two are still together spiritually, according to the family. Meri says that she is still committed to being with Kody and the entire Brown family. Her only daughter has already moved out, so there is not a lot keeping her there if Meri decided to move on.

Are you shocked that Meri Brown’s catfish, Jackie Overton, wouldn’t explain herself to In Touch when they showed up? It doesn’t sound like Jackie has any plans to speak out about what is going. Sister Wives is airing a new season on Sunday nights on TLC, but at this time they are not sharing if any of this will air on the show. They have filmed months ahead, but viewers would love to see all the details of Meri Brown’s online relationship come out on the show.
