Teresa Giudice is currently in prison completing her 15-month sentence, while her husband Joe Giudice is preparing. And to get the behind-the-bars basics for the 41 months he’ll spend in prison, Joe has gotten tips from his Real Housewives of New Jersey wife Teresa, reported People.
Attempting to put a positive spin on that prison stay, Giudice describes it as the chance to get a fresh start and put the past behind him.
“No more of this court crap and all this other crap,” added Joe.
Giudice stars along with the family in a three-part special, Real Housewives Of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In. In the series, Joe reveals what it’s like being Mr. Mom for their four daughters.
Praising his wife for her positive attitude, Joe showed his softer side toward prison inmates and made it sound like a social occasion with the opportunity to meet all kinds of people.
“New people coming in, people leaving, so you’re always meeting people. Just because they’re in there doesn’t mean they’re bad people.”
That optimism towards others behind bars comes from Teresa, added Giudice.
He noted that she’s given him some tips on how to manage life without a credit card or cash.
“They trade what they get in the commissary. So, let’s say somebody does your hair, you give them a pretzel [or] whatever you order from the commissary. But that’s how they do things in there. There’s no money exchange in there,” explained Giudice.
But although there’s no money exchange in prison, Melissa Gorga definitely knows the value of big bucks, and her appearance on the Real Housewives special gave her a nice pay day, according to Radar Online.
There are two versions of how the Gorga family and the Giudice family feel about each other.
“Everything is great,” insists Melissa.
But an insider revealed that there’s an ongoing feud. Joe did not want Melissa, who is his sister-in-law, to be on Teresa Checks In. Despite that desire, Gorga did appear on the show and profited from it.
“Joe Giudice hates Melissa Gorga’s guts,” revealed the insider.
And although Joe wanted to interfere with having her be on the show, Giudice had no control over the situation when the producers insisted on allowing Melissa to be part of the special, according to the source.
However, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey special reveals none of the feud.
“They are all fake friends for the show,” revealed the insider. “The whole thing is all-fake. Melissa’s a complete fraud.”
However, Gorga made a lot for her success in pretending to be a friend of the Giudice family.
“She is a guest star and she managed to get paid $100,000 to be on the show,” shared the source.
But what caused the feud in the first place? When Joe Giudice and Joe Gorga talked with Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, the answer became clear, reported People.
Although the feud first became public after Melissa and Joe Gorga became reality TV stars on Real Housewives Of New Jersey, fuel has now been added to the feud fire with a discussion of who is to blame for Teresa’s prison sentence.
Questioned as to whether he feels Giudice is the one to blame, Gorga answered yes.
“I don’t know why he would blame me, but everybody’s got their own opinion,” said Giudice in response. “I would blame more him than anybody, coming on the show and talking all the crap he talked, you know, all the years everything going on, so I would more blame him than me.”
On the special Teresa Checks In, Gia Giudice (the oldest of the four daughters) confessed that she felt ill at ease with the changes in her life – and that includes auntie Melissa Gorga’s role.
But both Melissa and Joe Gorga insist that everything’s better.
“Sometimes it takes a horrible situation to make families realize how important one another are, and I never ever want to go back to that dark place again,” declared Melissa.
And her husband attributed the past problems to competition that he admits destroyed the family, while claiming that it’s all over.
