Woman Films Her Husband Cheating With The Maid – Wife Could Face 1-Year Jail Sentence [Video]
There’s a video going viral on YouTube that’s causing a firestorm of controversy. As seen in the below video, a man appears to grope and grab a woman and hug her. The video itself is only one-minute and 31 seconds long, seemingly showing a married man and his maid playing around in the kitchen as they are unknowingly filmed by the man’s wife — but it is certainly causing a firestorm online. Instead of the maid being a willing party in the harassment, it appears that the maid tries to get away from the husband’s groping hands a couple of times as she carries some sort of dish.

As reported by Emirates 24/7, astonishingly it’s the Saudi wife who could now be in trouble for filming her cheating husband. Instead of facing and addressing the contents of the video, which was uploaded on October 7 to YouTube and titled “Women Secretly Filmed Husband Cheating With Their Maid #SaudiWomanCatchesHusbandCheating,” the fact that it was uploaded at all is being criticized.
The unnamed wife that filmed her husband could go to jail for up to one year for filming the video and then publishing it, advised a local lawyer about the case. Because it contains content of the husband flirting around with the maid in their Gulf Kingdom house’s kitchen, and was filmed in order to make an example out of him, the wife could be in hot water.
The wife being cheated upon used her cell phone to secretly record the video footage shown that has gained more than 1 million views on YouTube and gained plenty of comments. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, so goes the popular saying. Whilst that might not be true, the Saudi wife was obviously pretty hurt and angry over her husband’s antics, and took to social media to make an example out of the philandering man, explaining that the viral video was the least amount of punishment the cheating husband should receive.
“The minimum punishment for this husband is to scandalise him.”
The video itself isn’t of high quality, however, one can see the two figures in the kitchen, bending and interacting together. The fact that the wife might be in trouble after the video went viral on social media is causing outrage online. The Saudi Arabian audience and plenty of other online viewers supported the wife after learning about the popular video. However, it’s defamation of character charges that are being discussed in regards to the wife’s motives for filming the video and posting it online.
“She faces up to one year in prison or a fine of SR500,000 (Dh500,00) for defaming her husband in line with the law on information technology crimes. This law includes stiff punishment for anyone using mobile phones with camera or other equipment to photograph others and defame them.”
Instead of focusing on the cheating and the original actions that prompted the melee, the wife’s actions of uploading the video with intent to shame her husband are being discussed. The husband’s punishment for sexual harassment of the maid isn’t something that’s being discussed much.
According to USA Today, it didn’t take long for the video to go viral. In about 12 hours after being uploaded to YouTube, the video of the cheating husband had gone viral with its own popular hashtag. The hashtag #SaudiWomanCatchesHusbandCheating enjoyed at least 25,000 or mentions on Twitter, and garnered a heated response from those who later learned that the wife was actually the one who could end up in trouble because of the video. Instead, people are outraged that the victims are being blamed.
